They're apparently going the "gay" claim one better -- another article on this thing referred to Mary Magdalene as Jesus' "partner" -- He was a lesbian!

Don't think so. They regard Jesus as a prophet, not the Son of God; and they don't believe in the Resurrection. I think they claim Christ wasn't crucified at all.

The fascination with the Holy Myrrhbearer and Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene (as she is called by Orthodox Christians--she happens to be the patron of the little Orthodox mission I serve as a subdeacon and Mission Council President) comes from her portrayal by the gnostics, whose 'gospels' portray her as not merely an equal-to-the-apostles, or 'the apostle to the Apostles', but as an Apostle, herself, complete with sacredotal roles.
She has thus been made a 'poster child' for feminism, women's ordination, and attacks on 'patriarchal' traditional Christianity. Of course St. Gregory the Dialogist's error (St. Gregory the Great for you Westerners) of conflating her with the repentent prostitute who annointed Christ's feet, give her an extra gloss of appeal to the sort of feminist who likes worrying about the 'rights' of 'sex workers'.
Actually, being able to tell her story aright--that she was a life-long virgin, not a repented prostitute, that she was never 'dismissed' or 'downplayed' by the Church, which from ancient times honored her with the title 'Equal-to-the-Apostles' (besides her, St. Photini, known to protestants as 'the woman at the well', is the only Isapostolos who didn't have a hand in converting a whole country), the tale of why red eggs are associated with Christ's Resurrection, and the like--in a university town where feminists are a bit thicker on the ground than in the rest of Kansas, was one reason she was selected to be the patron of our Mission.
She gets called His "partner" all the time lately. Here's the deal: Not even these fools are claiming that He was formally married. According to Jews at the time, Jesus had some pretty unusual ideas about his religion, but that still doesn't mean he could be buried with a woman who was not his wife.

The Titanic movie was immoral with a warped and twisted view of the facts. Many responsible men gave their lives to save others; these were the so-called rich folks in the movie that invoked the popular class envy scheme against the real heroes. The behavior of the girl in the movie was a modern feminist alleycat kind of person, totally unlike the virtues practiced in the days of the Titanic. The movie was unrealistic and an unflattering rendition of the actual event.
This new movie is worse because it is blasphemous, that is, sacrilegious against God IMO.
I feel that President Bush has one primary adviser, God. 'W' has turned the other cheek, concerning the Dummocrats, while dealing with the real issue at hand, Satan, in the form of terrorists.
As far as the illegals are concerned, it could be that he he wants complete control of our external problems, before we open up an internal one. There could be another civil war in our future, if we are not deliberate, careful, and prayerful.

Not to disagree with your feelings regarding Islam. I have a lower opinion of Muslims than you do, but the God of Ibrahim is one of the pillars of Muslim belief. Knowledge not ignorance will win the war.

This is not feelings either. I have studied Islam far enough to know the difference between Allah and the God of Abraham.

First off I married the daughter of a Muslim. I know what I am talking about :) Real Muslims aren't supposed to bother People of the Book either. Now about Abraham, Muslims trace their spiritual lineage right through Abraham to Adam. Most of the Arabs are descendent's of Abraham. Ever heard of Issac and Ishmael?

Despite what you may have been told the Muslims do not worship the Moon God (that is an old Arabic thing). The Muslims are much more anti-Pagan than are Catholics for example.
So before I sound like too much of a Muslim apologist, let me reiterate that Islam is simply another perversion of biblical teachings and not a particularly interesting one at that. I fully support its elimination, by whatever means necessary.
By that standard does any religion?
