The only time I ever heard political statement from the Band, was during a show at Nassau, when Bobby said, "this ones for Bobby Sands.."
Nassau Coliseum, 5/6/81. Released on Grateful Dead Records as Dick's Picks Volume Thirteen. Always seemed like a real clunker of a statement to me. When I hear it I imagine Jerry wincing and Phil rolling his eyes.
