Maybe if a person is black, they think differently.

As a black person, I'm certainly proud of the fact that two Black coaches are going to the Super Bowl. Now, I realize the Super Bowl isn't as important as, say, becoming the first Black governor or the first Black president, but it's something. I'll be watching the Super Bowl this year.

"It wasn't exactly Brady who carried those teams to Super Bowl wins those years!!!"

It's not like he was MVP twice or guided them to the game-winning points in two Super Bowls or anything. Not like he's the unquestioned leader of the team. You could put Damon Huard back in and win another one. </sarcasm>

People who say this kind of stuff just don't understand football.

You would be remiss if you didn't mention the egregious pass-interference no-call when the Pats threw into the end zone, or the pet-your-dog roughing the passer flag that put Indy on the doorstep for the game-winning touchdown.

Indianopolis won the game. We can accept the loss.
Is it possible for the gentrified boys to win?
I dunno..they may have to appear on "OPRAH"
that seems to be the only road to "acceptance"
and thus what now has become the definition of "VICTORY"

No offense, but your comments make you sound like a sore loser. Your team lost an 18-point lead - you can't blame that on one or two plays.

Time for a major shake-up in Pats land?

Hardly...

I'll let a Pat's fan answer that one.

After the disgraceful traitorous departure from the Patriots by Deion Branch a few months ago the message was quite clear. His contractual obligations apparently meant nothing to him, and he (former Super Bowl MVP) will soon be a distant memory.

The Patriots are a team, and if you (as a player) cannot accept that, are unwilling to live with that, and/or are dissatisfied with that notion...well then take a hike.

The New England team mind set has it right, and the NFL is having a problem with the notion that a few teams can consistently be winners under their parity formula.

Those concepts will change in time,or the NFL will become just another politically correct enterprise where over time....everybody gets to win.

The Patriots will be back perennially, and that is problematic for some, but exciting for folks like me.

Anti-Darwinism in action.

The AFC loss by the Patriots tonight was a shocker, but perhaps after all in the best long term interests of the NFL.

Duhhh.

Moot point Bears will run Benson/Jones will run the ball down their throats...Grossman will be adequate and Urlacher will have the game of a lifetime. Plus the Bears don't tackle ...they strip the ball. Turnovers...go to Bears

After the Jets, I am a Patriot fan, and wanted them to win this one. BUT -- the Colts have endeared themselves to me this year, so I'm pleased for them.

One thing --- If the Super Bowl is as good as this game was, then -------. Nah -- it can't be as good. It rarely is. I love the playoffs better than the actual Super Bowl!

I figure the Patriots are the team that Teddy, Barney, and Johny K. root for. Therefore, I am more than happy to root against them. Ditto the "Red" Sox, aptly named after the politics of the state they are from.

Just pointing out the TRUTH.
When Peyton does as well as Tom Bomb Has.. then He will have something to talk about..
Until that point in time, Peyton has alot to prove.
No, I am not a sore loser, as I said "we lost, we can accept it"
What is it regarding my comment that you did not understand?

I am guessing the Patriots might have a new WR next year.

Well, a couple of first round draft picks next year might help.

Maroney hurt the team tonight, but he is after all, just a rookie. He ain't going nowhere else soon.

My Yankees have 26 World Championship rings since 1918 to the Red Sox's 1, yet that didn't stop Boston fans from (rightfully) reveling in beating the Yanks in 2004. And I sure didn't go around saying that the Red Sox's title didn't mean anything until they won four WS rings in five years, like the Yanks did in the 90s. No, I sucked it up, and congratulated the Sox fans I knew without saying "count the rings," because that's part of being a fan - being gracious through the agony of defeat.

But then again, maybe Patriots fans are merely following the example of their sore loser coach. Peyton Manning sought him out through the crush of people, and Bill still couldn't shake his hand. That's pathetic.

I think new england is the last team to whine about penalties given all the ones that got tossed on the chargers last week.
