Come here legally and you wont be putting your children through this. Enough with the anchor babies. Time to change that ridiculous law.

I might even be willing to support the guest worker/amnesty program if it was tied to the elimination of the anchor baby program and the construction of a meaningful fence across the entire southern border. Something like the guest worker/amnesty law shall take effect thirty days after (i) the ratifiaction of a constitutional amendment that provides that only the children of citizens and legal residents shall be citizens and (ii) the completion of a fence across the entire southern border that is at least 12 ft in height and topped with razor wire, and has a 100 ft buffer on both sides of the fence that is secured with razor wire and/or explosive devices and video equipment situated so that every inch of the border is under surveilance 24/7.

What most Freepers need is an economics lesson.

Seems that a World HISTORY lesson would dry your tears of sympathy....

Sympathy has nothing to do with it.

"And we are also very upset because the agents chose one of the most sacred days for Mexicans: the Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe."

If the day was so "sacred" then why were they at WORK where they got busted??

"In 1912 the Republican string-pullers figured the party faithful had nowhere to go..."

They learned their lesson, right?

Apparantly not, one reason why Bush 41 never had a second term.

How insensitive of Swift to force Mexicans to work on Guadalupe Day.
How illegal of Swift to have hired so many hundreds of illegal aliens.

After the illegals are deported, Swift's executives should be given 20 years hard labor for allowing these criminal activities to continue.

Don't tell me that they "didn't know." Corporations in the US are more and more resorting to criminal actions by hiring illegals, because they know so few get caught.

I recall Swift being fined by the Justice Dept. a couple of years back for checking ID's of Mexican employees too closely. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

"Current law limits an employer's ability to scrutinize the background and identity of new hires, and — as Swift learned first-hand — employers can, in fact, be punished for probing too deeply into applicants' backgrounds," the company said.

That was in reference to the 2000 complaint filed by the Justice Department's Special Counsel for Unfair Immigration-Related Employment Practices that alleged Swift engaged in a "pattern and practice" of document-based discrimination against job applicants. The department sought civil damages of $2.5 million.

The Justice Department said Swift's Worthington, Minn., plant engaged in discrimination and unfair practices when hiring U.S. citizens and lawful immigrant workers who were believed to look or sound "foreign." Justice claimed those individuals were more heavily scrutinized than others during the employment process.

After two years, Swift settled the claim for about $200,000.

Came from Fox News story *here*.

Boo frickin hoo. How much sympathy would we have if a shoplifter was nabbed and put in jail just before Christmas?
Yes, they are separated from their family and chiiiiiildren, but it's their own fault.

Boy, I didn't see this coming. That is so mean, breaking up illegal alien families. Guess we had better re-think our position on allowing these millions of criminals to be here in America.

"They learned their lesson, right?"

"Apparently not, one reason why Bush 41 never had a second term."

It's also one of the reasons the Dims took control of congress.

I doubt the Republican party will ever learn.

These people broke the law. If I broke the law they would not let me out of jail to take care of my kids. Why does everyone with dark skin think they are entitled to special treatment? Sorry guys and gals, you don't get any special treatment. If you hate the way we do things, get the hell out already!!!!!
