Barack Hussein Obama. Hmm ... First, with a name like that you can't be elected president of the United States, even if you are chock full of "charisma". Second, you know zero about foreign policy, which would be fine if you were about to run for the presidency of Burkina Faso, but is a major negative if you want to be the commander-in-chief in the U.S.A. in the age of that other Obama ... oops, sorry, I mean Osama. Third, I knew John Kennedy, Mr. Obama (okay, I didn't really), and you, sir, are no John Kennedy. Fourth, you're white and black, but really just a polished hack. And fifth, you're not even right about the Bears: because real football fans know it's the Chargers' year.
But okay, suppose "Obamamania" takes off and we're looking at President Obama in '08, a kind of alternative universe thing. Well, long before there was Obamamania, up in Canada there was Trudeaumania, back in 1968. And Canadians have been paying for it ever since.
Obama is the Anti-Christ.
me either!
None of your points are correct. Using a person's name as a political issue is worse than the extreme left hating Pres. Bush just because he has an R after his name. At least an individual has the ability to decide which political party he wants to join. Most of us don't get to do that with our names.
You're gripe is with the legions of politicians both Republican and Democrat who hire image consultants for just such things. The ones who worry about wardrobes, haircuts, jewelry and the like.
No, I never said it was the worst thing about Obama ... just one of many things.
Your distain makes your personality ugly in the extreme.
Nope, haven't looked at the box since some time in the early 90s.
Not quite. 39% voted for Reagan in '80; Both Nixon and Bush 41 got 35% of the Jewish vote, Ike beat all in '56 with 40%.
But, your boy Truman got 75%...
Did his non-autobiography indicate why his mother abandoned him?

I have not read it yet although I do plan to read it soon.
How can you trust someone who has fictionalized is autobiography.
I'll try to find an article about it and which things were changed.
If you don't think the name "Hussein" will be a drawback for Obama, you're dreaming.
It's actually Barack Hussein Obama Jr.
It's rather funny that the MSM tried to call George W Bush "junior" when he isn't a junior, but they fail to call Al Gore Jr. or Barack Hussein Obama Jr. juniors when both are juniors.
However, he has admitted to the above so I guess it is an old story, not worth mentioning anymore during the campaign which he has not said he is entering.
I think it is a diversion that worked before the election and is working to take heat off Pelosi and dems non-policy agenda.

Who's "WE," Kimosabe??? And who voted YOU to speak for US??
Be embarrassed.
Obama's image consultants are working hard on all aspects of his potential candidacy. Image consultants on both side of the aisle are working on their man's hair, clothes, mannerisms, choice of automobile, choice of school for their children, whether they wear a crucifix and other pressing things that are sure to send you into wild paroxysms.
If his middle name is a significant issue (meaning that more people care about it than just a few people who are being laughed at by the majority) in any campaign he runs in the future, I will tear up my voter registration card and never vote again.;
"You're right. A person's name is one of the most important factors in deciding a president./sarcasm"
In this case it does, big time!
I took some time to read a bit about him in the last half hour. Apparently there was some consternation about his keynote speech at the Dim convention and that it was largely fabricated ... or, at the very least, very, very distorted.
If he actually becomes a viable candidate I'm sure there will be massive digging into his background.
They are not working on his name. The amount of people who care about his name can be counted on one hand.
This is gonna bite Rush in the butt "bigtime."
Ridiculing physical characteristics never helps the ridiculers.
Rush can say all he wants that it was Maureen Dowd making the comments. All the cr@ap will blow back on him.
Not a good move, Rush.
