Nope. The democrats did not make cutting and running their platform. It was more like Bush is screwing it up. That is an easier thing to pull a lever for than, "Bush is screwing it up, AND we ought to get out of there right now and admit defeat." They did not offer a solution, only criticize what is going now.

Had they articulated their solution (or had the republicans articulated it for them), we would not have lost.

Right. Bush is saying Iraq is the issue, but quitting isn't what the electorate said.

Now he's pointing out that we are going to be stuck with immigration "reform".

Now, I support a strict guest worker program, I hope that now that Bush isn't trying to defend majorities he'll actually stand for HIS limited view of it, not the evil Senate plan.
