It doesn't matter. Bush is a lame duck. The next two years will be filled with primary talk -- on both parties.
The Republican candidates will be able to run against something. It would have been difficult with both houses and the White House. At least we have this. No one from Bush's administration will be running for president. He has become a non-factor, politically. Republicans will not have to reflexively defend him and Iraq will not be an issue.
Iran will have a nuke by then.
Now talking about immigration reform...Bush says there is a better chance of comphrensive reform with a Democrat congress...we all know what their idea of reform is...AMNESTY!
