we're unable to understand the appeal. It doesn't have any. My regards and a warm welcome to Mrs. Ivan.

Several things:
- She's not that pretty.
- The perk looks like she's had too much caffiene.
- She's not that bright.
I wonder what Edward R. Murrow would say about all this.

It was the item about the terrible plight of all the cats and dogs in Lebanon that floored me.
WTF? Priorities, please.

I watched the FIRST Katie Show, and then waited 2 weeks and watched another. Same-old, Same-old. I wondered, "Where is the news? This is NOT a "news" program." It's like eating junk food when you need a real nutritious meal. It satisfies the immediate hunger pangs, but after an hour or so, you are still hungry...............

I'm assuming they did some kind of pre poll to get an idea of Katie's appeal and that they are so used to skewing the polls to get the results
they want that they forgot this particular poll needed to be straight up.
Just a theory of course.

Perky Katie Rather... LOL... can't wait for the temper-tantrums, name-calling and back-stabbing to take place!

Do you remember, dear, something about them saying the budget for this was in the millions?

Brit belongs to FOX...thank goodness!! He has the best nightly news show on cable or anywhere else. CBS blew it when Rather decided that making up the news was the way to go....people don't forget stuff like that.

Perhaps someone can explain why people thought this was going to work. Simple, it was Republican-hating, Conservative-hating, America-hating, man-hating northeast liberals who thought it was going to work, not people.

Not to speak for Mrs Ivan, but I think both of us thought, at best, it was a "news digest". Not a serious programme, but sort of a "light news journal".

This proves that SeeBeeEss and other media management have lost touch and originality. Why waste money on Miss Couric?
Go back to the vault and pull out the Max Headroom thing. Its would be a lot cheaper and Katie's audience will still be there.

Katies has perfected the art of of being a coffee klatch biotch, but not of being a coffee klatch biotch with gravitas.

I, too, wonder why they thought this was going to work. It wasn't as if they didn't know who she is and how she does her job. I caught a nanosecond of her performance one evening while channel surfing, and she appeared to be sitting on her desk, with her legs crossed, in a short skirt, giving the news. In addition to being an intellectual midget, she exists in a powerful gravitas vacuum. CBS has expensively underestimated the American public once again.

I have yet to see her do the news on CBS.
Hopefully she will get canned before I ever accidentally stumble across her visage on my TV.
