Not so. AT-11 is tested also against low-flying helicopters... so if it hits somethilg FLYING at, lets say, 120 km per h at 20 meters height it sure can hit something moving 50 km/h at ground.

And another thing, why US army is allways comparing its best weapons with Russian 20 or 30 years old weapons?"
Cuz that is what our enemies are fielding.

"So, how did we get hold of a T-72? The Pols?"
I think we used to get them from the Israelis. The arabs were forever and a day leaving them laying around on the battle field.

During testing for Oman army, Challenger-2 just broke. they couldnt find how the sans are getting into engine. And than they got is. sand isnt just sand... Onanian (rabian peninsula) sand is much smaller and gout with ease trough filter. Challenger-2 was testen in Africa and african sand is larger."
And they fixed the problem.
Next.
When the Russians work up the balls to square up on us...then we'll see how quickly they'll also get trounced. As for now...we fight the dumbies who do stand up. Not our fault.
And your supposition about the Leopard is just that, supposition.

You got that right. Russia is a free country now, as much as America is, but USA must understand that Russia is global power and does same kind of sh*t that America does. All global powers do that. unfortunatly for humatiy.

You forgot to say, "...laying around on the battlefield intact and in perfect working order". :-)
I want to know who the idiot was that volunteered to drive the T72 in the targeting test ;-)

I'm not certain I would call them a global power, but they clearly are a regional power. Russia is dead wrong in selling hi-tech arms to Iran and Venezuela, but then so is the US in selling similar arms to Islamic countries and dictatorships.

True. Selling nuclear technology to Iran is like... selling nuclear technology to Iran. idiotical. I hate what Russia is doing with support to islamists. As i hate what USA did in support to Islamists in my country. That is why i said that powers are all makig same kind of sh*t.
But it also dont consoltes me knowing that Pakistan have nukes neither...
What I would like to see is making something like odl "Holly alliance". It was like Prussia, Russia, Austria? With USA and Russa as allies.

The guidance system of the AT-11 are not self setting and correcting. Hitting a moving target is not in the same class as a true fire and forget system. Every time I hear about the superior Russian weapons systems over the years, we later find out they are not what we first were told. My first thought of the T-80 was: What a piece of junk. Just wait, youll find the AT-11 is inferior as well.

Look back at previous elections. It is always the wrong time. I see no net profit to the country if Giuliani gets beaten by any Democrat, even Mrs. Clinton. Guiliani as president would just hand what's left of the Republican Congress over to the Democrats in 2010. Giuliani is tough on crime where it is in his own jurisdiction, and he will take away our guns. How much safer are we in a disarmed society? He will have no more success disarming criminals than anyone els e has. He will appoint homosexualist judges and very few judge candidates with social views compatible with Giuliani will share his crime attitudes. How many people in the country are "tough on crime" but social liberals on everything else? The potential pool of judicial nominees would present him with a very narrow choice such that he might have to settle for judicial incompetence in order to get a mix of views he finds compatible were he to insist on tough-on-crime and wacked out on everything else.
I won't vote for the man.
He is Mrs. Clinton's best, maybe only chance to be president.
Giuliani would be a great AG.
