ok how high is the murder rate in dallas? How many unsolved burglarys? Better question to ask this busybody school board member. What is the graduation rate and literacy rate in dallas? Do we really want cops in dallas walking around with a tape measure next to thier guns so they can determine if your pants are riding to low ? If you go to any waterpark in dallas I can guarantee you you will see a heck of a lot more skin then you see with the yutes in dallas sagging

I ask them if they are afraid that their pants will fall down. They usually smile and just say no.

Why is it that public office always seems to attract people who are utterly and totally unable to MIND THEIR OWN DAMNED BUSINESS?! How someone else dresses (provided they are wearing clothes of some kind) is their business and no one elses. If some moron wants to advertise his poor taste in dress thats up to him.

Baggy pants help the police combat crime. Fleeing criminals are easier to catch when their pants are around their ankles.

This year in all Alabama public school's all boys are required to wear a belt. If you are caught not wearing a belt you receive a 0 in each of your classes. "I think that is unreasonable", I have already read a letter to the editor from a parent in the local paper where her three boys were given 0's on the second day of school for not wearing a belt.

The other day I came across some tidbit of information that related baggy pants to fashionable prison wear.
The boys with baggy pants just want to emulate their heroes and role models in the big house.
With mandatory school attendance, and schools having "lock downs", maybe the prison garb isn't so inappropriate after all.
Now if prison wear was changed to one pair of gym shorts with no under ware, the newest prison fashion may be to keep them pulled up.
Those using prison garb as their guide would have to choices to make.

Fleeing criminals are easier to catch when their pants are around their ankles. But, it does make them more difficult to convict like it did with Bill Clinton...

ok how high is the murder rate in dallas? How is that a concern of a school board?
To: Calvin Coollidge
I do think that a school board is representative of the people that elected them. If a dress code is something that is the policy of the schools and parents approve, there should be no problem...

I agree saggy is a better way to describe it.
As far as their saggy pants indicating weather they are a pitcher or a catcher, I guess we learn something every day.

The one in the blue halter top is my guess for the catcher on this team.

In a school where I taught, if the student wasn't wearing a belt, he was sent to the office, and a length of twine was provided to serve the purpose...not a very fashionable look. Not much twine was used through the year.

Pick your battles wisely. Tell that lady to have her sons wear belts. Look I had a dress code when I was in school. Yes being the rebel I was; it was pushed to the limit, but when caught I didn't go to my mama to fight my battles. Go along to get along, or the schools will have uniforms. I would rather have a dress code, and have some sort of independence then have uniforms where everyone looks the same. I live in Alabama it is not as bad here as other places. We don't have anyone shooting each other over Nike's yet. So a word to the parents who take their kids side in these crazy battles. Have them wearing belts or you will be forking out money for uniforms you don't like. You can't win the dress code battle. Why do you want to? Unless you want your kids to look stupid.
