Yesterday the Eighth Circuit summarily dismissed Gonzolez's story. It overturned a lower court ruling that had found no evidence of drug activity, stating, "We respectfully disagree and reach a different conclusion... Possession of a large sum of cash is 'strong evidence' of a connection to drug activity." Ridiculous. When just having cash is taken as evidence of a crime, then there is something far wrong with how we are doing things.

Two years ago my brother and I sold our Shrimping boat down in Buras, LA for 85K, We then had drive I-10 with its 67 speed traps all the way down to the Texas State Line, Got Stopped on the Causeway for going too slow, and were stopped in Lake Chuck for going five over the speed limit.
My brother who was in that passenger seat peed his pants and the Louisiana cop did not thing that was suspicious. The only thing that kept is from having our car searched and money stolen was that we had just returned from shrimping and he was welcome to some of our catch,
