The problem with that is Jordan is relatively decent, as far as such places are in the Middle East, and I doubt that the Jordanians want much of anything to do with the Palestinians nowadays.

Was he one of the ones the Israelis think was targeting rockets? There was a report on the John Batchelor show last night that Hamas guys were using GPS and long-distance phone calls to help Hezballah aim their rockets.

You're correct in that there is no difference in ethnicity; however, there is a gulf between the two culturally & how they view themselves in nationalistic terms.
One problem with the Palestinians is that they have been used too long as a "wedge" by other Arab & Middle Eastern nations to delegitimize, destabilize, or otherwise destroy Israel. The result is a Palestinian people that is radical, murderous, barbarous, and savage. No sane leader would want them added to his country's population. Unfortunately, none of the Middle Eastern countries or other liberal groups responsible for perpetuating the Palestinian "refugee" population will ever be held accountable for the damage they've done.
In regards to current events, it may be interesting to look at Black September in Jordan in 1970 and the current war between Israel and Hezbollah today. See this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_September_in_Jordan
When threatened with a Palestinian militant force that was intent on taking over the country in 1970, Jordan crushed the militants and drove them out. Today, in Lebanon, Hezbollah is essentially running the show in about half the country, and the gov't of Lebanon is either incapable or unwilling to exercise its authority.

Not quite true. Jordan literally were poised to destroy the PLO, but they were rescued in the 11th hour by the US and the Soviets who called for a cease fire and arranged safe passage of the PLO to Lebanon. Then they launched a civil war in Lebanon (as the PLO, and Hezbollah for that matter, sets itself against all moderate Middle Eastern governments) which drew in the Israelis. When the Israelis were poised to destroy the PLO once and for all, the US and the Soviet Union again arranged for a cease fire and provided safe passage for them to Tunisia. Then with OSLO, the PLO was allowed into the West Bank, and predictably, the PLO has once again launched a war of terrorism against the state of Israel, all the while being protected and given money by the world community both directly and through the UN. I say, open up the corridor to Jordan, and then you will have at least one Middle Eastern country (besides Israel) that wants the PLO destroyed. Sure would be a lot better than Israel acting alone. To understand what's really going on, I suggest you read the following links--GGG To understand how all this works, read the following VERY CAREFULLY:

I say, open up the corridor to Jordan, and then you will have at least one Middle Eastern country (besides Israel) that wants the PLO destroyed. I misunderstood what you meant. I thought that you favored putting the Palestinians in the West Bank into Jordan in order that they would effectively become Jordanian citizens. This is what puzzled me about your earlier comments, since such an influx of radicals would hurt a fairly moderate, relatively decent country.

But it is a country that has fired on Israel in every existential war they have ever been in. Jordan, and several other Arab governments need to be forced to choose sides. Why should they be allowed to sit the hostilities out, as Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, the PLO are all gunning for them too? Take Israel out of the equation and these governments will fall one by one like dominoes--GGG
