In another internet forum, a former FReeper is monitoring police scanner frequencies in Santa Ana, CA. He reported earlier that all riot control units were called to the area as a riot was beginning to erupt.
Minutes ago he reported that the radio traffic indicated that shots had been fired.
More info as it comes in. Does anyone live near Santa Ana, is there any confirmation on local TV or radio? Anyone have a police scanner or an online link?
Ah, I see you are familiar with Santa Ana (Mexican Hollywood). That town is a DEFINITE no-drive-through place.
I am watching the news right now and they aren't mentioning anything.
Reports are now coming in on FOX 6 in San Diego that a protest in Vista is getting unruly as well.

are not reporting any shots fired so far.
Makes me sad to say it, but with no one supporting the various police dept.s,why would anyone want to join? The law enforcement agencies need to have support from within and from without. My prayers are always with them.

I had to switch off KTLA, their reporting sucked to say the least, in other words, wringing every tear of sympathy possible for the protesters out possible by talking to kids and youth mostly..
No further info via scanner on shots fired. Police dealing with groups of hundreds of unruly protestors right now.
Here we go. And I thought they were just all nice folks trying to make a living for their children. < / sarcasm >
