"Fencing of borders will end infiltration" Kanpur, April 3 (UNI): Union Minister of State for Home, Sriprakash Jaiswal, Sunday said that fencing along the Indo-Pak and Indo-Bangaladesh border will be completed soon to put an end to infiltration activities in the country.
Interacting with mediapersons here, Jaiswal said that once the border fencing work is completed, a comprehensive check will be put on the infiltration activities through both the sensitive international borders.
Infiltration has been checked considerably following fencing and stepped up vigil by security forces along the Indo-Pak border running through Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
"Tourist traffic in Jammu and Kashmir has increased and the influx of militants as well as drugs has been stopped in these three states neighbouring Pakistan," Jaiswal claimed.
Likewise, fencing along the Indo-Bangladesh-Myanmar border is also going on a war-footing, which will resultantly check infiltration in West Bengal, Assam and Tripura, he said.
The Minister, however, said that fencing work could not take off at a pocket on the Indo-Bangladesh border in Tripura owing to a dispute with the Bangladesh Rifles. The dispute would be resolved soon through deliberations, he hoped.
Jaiswal further said since the Indo-Bangladesh border was significantly made up of riverine areas, BSF jawans on speed boats have been pressed into service to keep a round the clock check on infiltration activities.
When the minister's attention was drawn towards West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhdeb Bhattacharya's recent concern over infiltration of Bangaldeshi nationals in the eastern state, Jaiswal maintained that border fencing and speed boat powered vigilance will put an end to the infiltration activities.
That can't be right. Fences can't stop them. That's what all the liberals are telling us.

Wont be a big problem for India to blockade Nepal. Just the millions of genuine Nepalis comming to India for jobs would be hit. (Landlocked) Nepal will be shut-out from the rest of the world. Even their tourism industry will be hit. Not something the Nepalis themselves would want. Nepal is no Bangladesh and is culturally much closer to India (in fact it IS culturally part of India) but only Paki jerks like you see it differently.

Nepals economy runs on tourism and the bulk of tourists comming to Nepal are from India. Maoists arnt the only ones to shuttle between India and Nepal. Blockading landlocked Nepal will bring their economy to a grinding halt. Economics wasn't part of the syllabus in your madrassa I take it.

As for "secularism" you may prefer India to be run by leftists rather than Hindu Nationalists but that's no reason to impose your Bolshevism on the Hindu nation of Nepal.
