No doubt that a significant percentage of the American public is gullible and apathetic (and some are downright stupid! :)

BUT...........there is a factor involved in who gets elected as President, and that's 'likeability.' Bill Clinton, even in his amoral state, has charisma. Hillary has none. Bill SEEMS like he cares about people. Hillary does not. Bill has a sense of humor. Hillary does not. Bill seemed like he could compromise. Hillary is making a fool of herself trying. Bill was somewhat an unknown, Perot was in the race, and Bush41 didn't run a very good campaign.

What we need is a strong candidate, and Hillary doesn't have a prayer.

Actually, the far left is mad at her (because she's pretending to become moderate), so she may not even get the nomination.

BUT even if she does, she's an unattractive, shrieking extremist who isn't a very convincing liar (like her HINO).

You ask excellent questions, and at the risk of sounding simplistic, the most important thing we can do is to KEEP PRAYING. I absolutely strongly believe that George W. Bush was the answer to the prayers of God's people to keep this country from its slide down the toilet of corruption. He's making incredible gains, and yesterday.........YESTERDAY.........the tide turned.

What we MUST do, is to get another strong Republican President who will continue to appoint originalist judges, and lead us in the war on terror and the equally important war against immorality and deceit.

Now, how's THAT for rambling?? ;)

Rob is right. It's easy to do.

I must confess to having to do it to my own posts more than once. :)

Post abuse on yourself, and just say you want your own post removed, and it will be gone.

No harm, no foul.

" America can't survive without illegal aliens. " ...came out of his mouth...not mine

You are a liar.

And now you stand by it.

The only logical conclusion to be drawn is that you are a leftist who is posing as a conservative, and you have seared your conscience and have no shame.

Otherwise, you would not stand by a bald faced lie.

The current crop of Dems is the direct product of feminists who spoiled, rather than raised, their children. Why do you think there is such a lack of manners in America? We have a generation of childlike adults who were taught that "it's all about me." We have a generation of 20 & 30 year old children who are bereft of morals and class. These brats of feminists have gained control of the Dems in power.

The traditional, middle-class mom was the glue that held this country together. When she left the home for the workforce, chaos ensued. I wonder if America will ever recover.

I read a thread the other day that said we lost an entire generation through abortion. The generation that is my oldest daughters. My God, an entire generation. Can't the pro abortion people see the profoundness of that statement....

Don't worry, you weren't alone! My hubby did the same thing!! At the same time I was shaking my fist so hard at the TV that...well....the cats got scared, one hid under the couch for hours, the other went into a fetal postion!

Great great speech, no matter what the talking heads say.

What is more impoortant than keeping America safe? Who has kept us safe since 9/11? The President, that's who.

Unfortunately, no, they can't. This new generation has been indoctrinated by revisionist history. If you take the time to read at any liberal forums, you cannot help but note that there is no factual knowledge of the generation before them. It is very worrisome that they equate a woman's right to vote with a woman's "right" to choose. We know there is no comparison. They do not. They lump the suffragists in with the feminists without realizing that the suffragists would be appalled at what women have done to society.

He didn't say it, I did. He highlighted my comment and responded to it.

I have no problem at all with legal immigration, never have, never will. When Bush started talking about immigrants being important to our economy, surely he wasn't talking about the legal ones. They jumped through the hoops that our government laid out for them to jump through to be a part of this country, like my ancestors did.

The Minutemen are not on our borders trying to keep out 'legal immigrants'. If they were legal, they wouldn't be sneaking through.

How much money do illegal immigrants contribute to our country? Billions perhaps? IIRC, they send back to Mexico about $60 billion. How's that helping our country? That's just propping up the corrupt government in Mexico. Mexico keeps the rich and middle class there and encourages their poor to come here and take advantage of any program they can get their hands on.

But his little girl's seat is continually targeted by the J-E-W-S..

It's very worrisome, I agree. The 'radical' feminist movement...I'm at a loss to put into words the harm they've done.

IMO, there are only three cases where it should be allowed. Rape, incest and the life of the mother is at stake. The rest is birth control by abortion.

"surely he wasn't talking about the legal ones??

And you know this exactly how??

The only conclusion to draw from your assumption is that the President was deliberately lying when he clearly said "immigrant" and not "illegal immigrant."

I prefer to hear what he says and not what someone guesses that he meant. No offense to you, p.

This may be why the grey suit was smirking.

Copy:

With President Bush's State of the Union address last night and the confirmation of Samuel Alito, it can feel like a dark moment. Here's the important thing to remember: the 2006 elections are only a few months away—and if we keep our eyes on that goal, we're in a position to win big.

So, instead of griping about the lies and inaccuracies of the president's speech last night, we're going on offense big time. We have a new plan to change control of Congress in 2006. There are three million of us on this email list. If we all commit ourselves to making this happen, it will happen. But we need to start now.

Victory this Fall won't be easy—it'll require people on the ground, ads in the air, and, of course, money to pay organizers. This week, we're aiming to take the fight to the Republicans by raising the first $250,000 for our election plan. If just 2,500 of us contribute $100, we can do it. Will you join us?

https://political.moveon.org/donate/06match.html?id=6776-1785791-FHSW85sFH0MRlAScIPLJcg&t=2

Our goal is to raise $250,000 before tomorrow at midnight.

This election is our best opportunity to win yet. The wheels are coming off of the right-wing machine and polling shows that Americans are fed up with Republican control and ready for a change in direction. (Check tomorrow's e-mail for details on a special phone briefing about the election plan.)

We're not a part of the Democratic Party, and we like it that way. But that means that MoveOn has no other source of funds than our members. The average contribution is $50. In short, if you're able to support this program, we'll be able to do it—and if you don't, we can't.

Here's are the three pillars of the plan (look for more on a phone briefing about it tomorrow):

1) Hold Republicans accountable every day on Iraq, their corruption, and the economic reverse-Robin-Hood-ism that has become their trademark. We'll be cranking up our Operation Democracy program to full throttle—our biggest push yet. (See below.) This is earlier than any other effort out there.

2) Encourage Democrats to stand up and fight. Democrats win when they act strong—it's our job to support them when they do and call them out when they don't. We'll push in our advocacy work for Democrats to take bold stands on key issues.

3) Get out the vote. In an off-year election, turnout will be key. If as many Democrats vote as turned out in 2004, we'll win a lot of close Congressional races. That will take some nitty-gritty work on the ground. We'll be adding a "national phone program" to Operation Democracy so MoveOn members in any town or state can volunteer.

Are you in? We'll need about $3.5 million over the next nine months to run this whole Operation Democracy program—before we raise money for TV ads or candidates.

https://political.moveon.org/donate/06match.html?id=6776-1785791-FHSW85sFH0MRlAScIPLJcg&t=5

The best chance we have to stop the Bush agenda is the election this coming November and everything is on the line. Please contribute today.

Thanks for all you do.

Wednesday, February 1st, 2006

P.S. Here is some more information about Operation Democracy—our winning field network of MoveOn leaders and teams. (Phone briefings are scheduled for Thursday evening.)

Operation Democracy is a national network of MoveOn members—leaders really—who organize activities that are focused on generating press coverage and doing sophisticated advocacy.

It has made a big impact—thousands of events have been organized since it was started. Based upon a very successful test we're spreading it from Coast to Coast. As we get closer to the election, Operation Democracy will focus on a Get-Out-The-Vote program talking directly to voters.

Paid organizers working side-by-side with MoveOn volunteers have made a big difference. How big of a difference? We hoped that communities with organizers could do 150% better than communities without an organizer. In fact they have gotten 277% as much media and identified 323% as many go-to leaders we can count on. They are tripling the reach of MoveOn members!

These organizers cost a lot to keep out there. That is why we're fundraising.

This is a very scary sight! This would be a great opening for a campaign ad, followed by a clip of GWB' remark about the Democrats' refusal to work on the Social Security problem, and the cheering by the 'Rats that followed. (They're going to dump it on our children and grand-children.)

The jackass symbol for the 'Rats has been overtaken by the dinosaur, altho both are extremely appropriate.
