"...The hill includes sandstone slabs 17 feet below the surface. Sandstone, he said, is not a naturally occurring rock in the area..."

Probably good idea to doubt both the supposed age and the identification as an artificial mound. :')
The "Pyramid" of Hellenikon
At the South-eastern edge of the plain of Argolid, near the springs of the Erasinos river (nowadays 'Kephalari') and on the main arterial road which in antiquity lead from Argos to Tegea and the rest of Arcadia and Kynouria, there is a small fort at present known as the 'pyramid' of Hellenikon.

According to evidence from the excavations and the typical features of the structure which dates to the end of the 4th century B.C. and not to the prehistoric period, as some scientists have been recently willing to demonstrate. During the later years of Antiquity, the "Pyramid" was considered as a burial monument , a "polyandreion", while nowadays there is no doubt that it was a fort of the type of small strong-holds which controlled the arterial roads and which are known from other regions of the Argolid.

the pyramid was 10-20,000 years old

Read it like this: the pyramid is 15,000 years old give or take 5,000 years. Shows what happens when somebody doesn't dust regularly.

"Read it like this: the pyramid is 15,000 years old give or take 5,000 years."

Well, the problem is that the pyramid builders hadn't left Sundaland yet...15,000 YA is pushing things a bit.

OSMANAGAIC: WE HAVE ALREADY DUG OUT THE FIRST STAIR OF THE PYRAMID

VISOKO, October 26 (FENA) – Archeological activities have began on hill Visocica near Visoko, which holds the remains of the medieval royal town of Visoki, and the aim is to confirm the existence of the first European pyramid.

Hill Visocica hides the first European pyramid of monumental proportions, claims author of the book “Bosnian pyramid of the Sun” Semir Osmanagic, which was promoted yesterday in Sarajevo.

Osmanagic on Wednesday told Fena that this facility has an accession plateau wide 40 and long 200 meters built of stone plates. The access plateau is in the form of stairs leading to the pyramid.

The basis for the claim that Visocica holds a most valuable archeological monument is seen in a series of construction anomalies determined during research conducted in August. These anomalies indicate that the hill was not created naturally, but by man.

Apart from the “pyramid of the Sun”, Osmanagic claims that a smaller pyramid, which he calls “pyramid of the Moon” is located in the area opposite to Visocica, which again confirms that pyramids were always built in pairs.

“We have already dug out one stair of the pyramid and we will continue working on the second stair”, says Osmanagic.

Osmanagic was unable to answer when the pyramid would see the light of day, adding that digging out of the wider sections of pyramid only would depend on additional funds.

which again confirms that pyramids were always built in pairs
WTH? Pyramids have never been built in pairs, anywhere. At least the Chinese pyramids are generally accepted as artificial, though anomalous (and not 5000-6000 years old).
5,000-year-old "Pyramid" Discovered in North China
July 8, 2001
The "pyramid" belongs to the Hongshan Culture period of 5,000 to 6,000 years ago, according to Guo Dashun, a famous Chinese archaeologist. Seven tombs and ruins of an altar were found on the top of the "pyramid". At the site of the altar there are many fragments of broken pottery carved with the Chinese character mi" (rice). Archaeologists said that the character "mi" may have something to do with people's understanding of astrology in ancient times. Archaeologists were surprised to find a stone-carved linga on the wall of a tomb and a small stone statue of a goddess below the linga in the same tomb. The discovery of the "pyramid" is also of great significance in exploring the origin of the Chinese civilization. The Hongshan Culture, belonging to the Neolithic culture, is mainly distributed in the juncture area between Inner Mongolia, Liaoning and Hebei provinces.

That is a nice story and a good piece of history. But in the history of the world, the story does not fit with most Pyramids because the majority of Pyramids around the world were not tombs, cairns or the like.

They most likely had religious, spiritual ceremonial use more than anything. Also, the most significant ones were built with engineering and mathematical precision that has seldom ever been duplicated by any modern constructions.
