Once again, Mark Levin beats Michael Savage in New York.

4.2 to 3.5. In fact, Levin has beaten Savage in every ratings book.

Savage is very entertaining.

He is way better than those boring sycophants, Rush and his retarded kid brother, Hannity.

Levin is ok.

Don't get me wrong: I agree with alot of what Savage says, but his raving lunatic schtick gets old in a hurry.

I for the most part agree. I dont dislike Savage he sometimes is right on. But Levin is by far my favorite conservative pundit. Even above Ann Coulter

I can't take Savage anymore. His show just brings me down. All he does is complain about EVERYTHING. He's not happy about ANYTHING, LOL.

I heard that he is looking for a sidekick? Anyone know why or what that's all about?

I don't like Savage either. He is a nasty and mean spirited man and he doesn't reflect well on our side and doesn't do much to advance the discussion. I'd imagine he does more to excite liberals than conservatives.

There are other signs of delusional thought that go well beyond the "act" he performs. He suddenly switches from rants about whatever he is ranting about at the moment, to what he had to drink the night before. Sudden mood shifts, ideation of grandeur, and complaints of persecution, are not part of the act. He is nuts and going nuttier by the moment. Savage has gone off the deep end and it is matter of time before the break becomes public.

I know and that's what makes his show so dang entertaining!

Dr. Savage and Laura Ingrams seem to go out of their way to insult their listeners and offend callers.

Notice how Rush let's everyone finish and gets treated respectfully unless they become obscene? Sean Hannity does not treat callers the same, but has great guest, Ingrams and Dr. Savage are rude and at times obnoxious.

Dr. Savage may have, it seems at times, gone over the edge. His ranting about aborting all babies who have parents who can not afford to raise them to his standards was way over the line and reminiscent of the democrats justification for abortion back in the sixties when they were saying, about aborting kids who had parents on welfare: "Either pay for an abortion for them now or welfare for the next 18 years" (Paraphrased from memory)

I like listening to Savage. Humor is a matter of taste, and I have the sense that many of his Freeper critics take his bombast way more seriously than intended. That said, I like Levin too. I don't know anything about ratings, but I assume that their combined score is great news for New York.

I actually listen to Savage for when he is talking about culture, and life in general. I.E., the restaurants he goes to etc. I cringe sometimes when he is talking economic policy.

No doubt, he is nuts on some issues, such as oil prices.

Not quite. Many times Laura has to cut off a caller because they just won't stop speaking. She will give the caller a chance to make their point but not allow the caller to control the conversation.

Levin's show isn't available in our area, Savage is, but delayed.
I enjoy listening to Savage.

He is way better than those boring sycophants, Rush and his retarded kid brother, Hannity.

One of the least attractive things about Savage is the way he "savages" fellow conservatives. He's on a kick to become the "anti-Limbaugh". More power to him, if that works for his ratings, but he consistently misrepresents Rush's views, to whit: he says Limbaugh favors illegal immigration, which is a flat lie. He uses your word, "sycophant", to describe a guy who criticized President Bush for the Education Bill, his stand on illegal immigration, Muslim-coddling, and Harriet Miers (to name a few instances). Just because Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, et al, don't burst a blood vessel or threaten to commit suicide or denounce the Republican Party every time Mr. Bush does something they don't like doesn't make them sycophants, any more than Savage's uniformed rants make him a great patriot. I hear more Republicans bashed on the average Savage show than I do Democrats.

Air America has actually managed to triple their ratings-

They stopped broadcasting and just started yelling out their rantings at a street courner. Listeners: up 200%!

Savage can be entertaining on the cultural side, but his politics and culture don't mix well at all. He is a political fool, making observations that are totally off the wall and hyping his "superior" knowledge with snippets from ancient history that I am sure he took off the Internet just to make himself appear intellectual. The give away on his knowledge of history and philosophy is the out of context usage of the information.

I don't think he can stay on the air much longer. Someone is going to walk in with a Psychiatrist and a straight jacket and pull the plug on his michrophone.
