Any organization with a Chief Diversity Officer is suspect right out of the chute.

Do they celebrate Christmas here?

Feels more like Marxism than political correctness.

I'd find a nice conservative suburb and file a multimillion dollar law suit against their butts.

The funny thing is that the Red Cross will not accept blood from sexually active homosexual men. Oh, well, what can we expect from the goofballs that infect the management of operations like the Red Cross.

BTW, a friend of mine (an Army medic) who volunteered to help with local blood drives told me they call the senior management "the Menopause Mafia."

Man Fired By American Red Cross For Not Celebrating Homosexuality

Just put on your party dress and blow your noisemaker, Mike.

By the way, your noisemaker's name is Phil.

He also suggested that since the Red Cross is "such a diversified organization," perhaps it should hold a Christian celebration.

employees were encouraged to "observe" the celebration.

I've observed these celebrations before, and have no wish to do so again.

Perhaps the best way to observe these celebrations is to turn one's back on them.

Just don't bend over.

A "community" that stresses inclusion, while actively and aggressively excluding those who disagree.

Thing is, this man was disagreeing with the active promotion of homosexuality. He wasn't insisting on excluding gays, or even of forcing gay people to hide their sexuality. He was only voicing his opinion that he thought it was inappropriate for the Red Cross to encourage him to embrace a lifestyle he disagreed with, and for them use company resources to do so.

I am amazed that many right her on FR are blind to the incrementalism taking place under our noses.

Then, they wake up one day and their job is in danger unless they bow before the idol of homosexual normalcy.

It is only fitting that we reinforce our organization's commitment to inclusion

... and in a related story, if you reply in the affirmative as to whether or not you have partaken in some of the "activities" practiced by those being celebrated, they won't take your blood.

Am I missing something here?

The intolerance of the diversity crowd shows how flawed they are.
(But they sure think they're righteous, don't they). How
blind can they get?

The Red cross better start working on upping their blood
supplies, and finding out how to detect diseases in their
blood supply, and not diversity. They also ought to fund study on
blood/plasma replacements.

Next time you go into the hospital, look into autologous
blood transfusion, (where you donate your own blood
for use by yourself, one drawback is short period of
longevity of your blood, can't be stored indefinitely)
Perhaps the Red Cross, can research methods of storing
ones blood for longer periods of time.

a mass e-mail was sent to employees reminding everyone that June was Gay and Lesbian Pride Month and employees were encouraged to "observe" the celebration.

And just how was everyone supposed to observe this celebration?

It doesn't look like Political Correctness.

Exactly the same used to happen in the USSR, only it was carried out by the KGB.
