Oliver Stone Set to Direct a Movie About the Events of 9/11Nicolas Cage to Star in 9/11 Film
Paramount Pictures has tapped Oliver Stone to direct an as of yet untitled movie about the events of 9/11 in New York, which will focus on the true story of two Port Authority police officers.
Nicolas Cage will play one of the two officers who, along with hundreds of other police officers, risked their lives to help rescue people from the burning buildings. The two Port Authority officers were trapped when one of the Towers fell, and were two of the few who survived the collapse thanks to the heroic efforts of other rescuers who managed to get them out.
Michael Shamberg, Stacey Sher, and Moritz Borman will produce the film. Andrea Berloff wrote the script. Production is expected to begin shortly in New York.

With the right director, a movie like this could be quite good.
But in the hands of Oliver Stone, this is a recipe for disaster.

Excellent. This will just make the left look even more foolish. Unlike Fahrenheit 9-11, this will have a real political effect. Especially in 06.

It'll be just like real life, except all the characters will be gay and Osama Bin Laden will be the innocent patsy, eating a ham sandwich while George Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Castro, the Mob and Rush Limbaugh gleefully bring down the twin towers.
