Wouldn't you think, somebody out there,
is renting a house or something to that
creep? They should come forward.

Is it just me, is that Waitress a dead ringer for "Toni Collette" who starred with Bruce Willis in "The Sixth Sense"? She played the boys mother.

How would this get to the Supreme Court? Can the government appeal contrary judicial rulings in criminal cases? I always thought only the defendant could do so.

The issue could get there 2 ways:

1. a judge rules the confession IS admissible, the defendant is convicted, and the defendant raises the issue.

2. This probably varies by state, but in Florida, the state is allowed to contest some pre-trial suppression rulings.

But you're right, the defendant certainly has more leeway in contesting these things, compared to the state. Mostly, once a defendant is acquitted, there is nothing the state can do.

LOL!

I don't know who "Toni Collette" is.
Nor am I familiar w/the movie.

I do know the waitress is smarter
and more alert than the local LE.

I hope the waitress gets all of
the $100,000. Like the lady in
AL that spent the night w/the guy
that shot the judge, his reporter
and a few others at the court house.

Both those ladies earned every cent
of the reward money.

LOL..my DH just said that not many people know who Toni Collette is. Wish I could post a picture :(

I'm wondering if the waitress will split the reward with the other waitress who helped her out. We'll learn soon enough, I hope.

This poor girl will be scarred for life. Negative events in her future will sure to be related to this tragedy. The only reason she survived was that fact he liked little girls more than little boys. The boy must have suffered greatly before his demise. I wonder if she had to bear witness to it.

The fact he felt safe in bringing her out in public shows that he must have really tormented her mind and body to the point of blind obedience to him.

This man should get the electric chair for these facts and the remainder of the story which includes more horrific acts upon his part.

How can a father every console or reclaim his child's life of innocence for her? Her father will harbor an anger inside that he must deal with or he is liable to hurt someone unrelated to the event just because the wrong word or reaction triggers an emotion he cannot restrain. They will both need great help in dealing with this, it is so sad.

I just did a Yahoo search

Yeah! She & the waitress
could pass for sisters.

"No, no photos -- but I think we have a site that does have photos. I have't yet. located it."

Seems to me ALL states need sex offender sites that include photos. Too bad if the ACLU thinks that violates their crummy rites. There's no other way to teach who we need to be on the lookout for.

We're definitely not going to find them standing in front of their homes with signs on that identify them as "the bad guys."

Good luck to you. I hope you find a site with pictures.

If it was me, I would give the money to Shasta, and her family.

Actually a fund should be set up to help them. Especially after everyone pointed at the father.

I wasn't one of them.

Wasn't thinking comprehensively, sorry. What I should have said is that we need a national sex offender registry WITH photographs.

Offenders don't stop at state lines. Neither should our thinking.

I shouldn't have said everyone, because many including the Idaho sheriff didn't believe he had anything to do with it.

I'm interested to see how the whole thing unfolds. If this guy was the killer, etc.

That waitress deserves a nice BIG reward.

This just boggles my mind. Somone who is a level 3 SEX OFFENDER who should be locked up or in my opinion sitting on death row and he is just roaming about the country free. I hope they find that little boy and he better be alive.

I watched on and off all day, and never once heard a report about some guys reporting her to the staff at Dennys...sounds like some people trying to "cash in"...

I live in the Coeur d'Alene area and watched the first news briefing with the Kootenai County Sheriff representative. They had a live phone call from a guy who (with a friend) spotted a young girl and guy in the Denny's parking lot and thought it looked like Shasta. They went inside and found a local newspaper to look for her picture to confirm. They then tipped off a waitress, who tipped off management. Meanwhile, these guys went out to the parking lot to get the license number off the Jeep, just in case they got away. I don't know if the waitress they tipped off was Amber or not, but they were definitely onto something as well. Mrs. Sangoo
