Al-Jazeera to look at open U.S. border

The Arab TV news network criticized by the new Iraqi government and others for its anti-American bias and willingness to carry the messages of terrorist organizations, including al-Qaida, is headed for the U.S.-Mexico border to document how easy it is to enter America illegally.

Al-Jazeera has contacted Minuteman Civil Defense Corps leader Chris Simcox to try to arrange interviews. Simcox, who rejected the request for cooperation with the TV network, says al-Jazeera, seen by millions throughout the Arab world and elsewhere, is producing an hour-long documentary news special on lack of security at the U.S. southern border.

Al-Jazeera reporter Naisser Hssaini mentioned the increase in apprehensions of illegal aliens known as OTMs – other than Mexicans. These foreigners increasingly include Arabs, Muslims and others from the Middle East. The reporter also mentioned his familiarity with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement police of catching and releasing OTMS – particularly those not specifically known to be on any terrorist watch list.

"The group has been denied requests for interviews by Minuteman Civil Defense Corps organizers but they still insist on filming the groups’ activities along with the rest of the media during a July 4th weekend mission near Arivaca, Arizona," said Simcox.

Simcox has contacted the offices of Arizona's two Republican U.S. senators – John McCain and Jon Kyl – to invite them to do interviews with al Jazeera, "so perhaps they can explain to the viewers of this news outlet just how secure America's borders really are."

I'd bet $500 it's already too late.

I think you'd win that bet. We are no more prepared to deal with internal terrorism than a herd of sheep is prepared for a pack of hungry wolves. The consequences will be equivalent.

As for sealing the borders; I shall advocate that to my final breath. But it isn't going to happen. For some reason I do not understand, our political and economic elites want open borders; the views of mere voters are of no relevance.

Say now, there's an idea! Maybe GWB could look into the possibility of a 'guest terrorist' residency program, I mean after all, if it's good enough for turning hundreds of thousands of illegal Mexicans into quasi-legal U.S. residents/workers, it would be an allah-send for all those disadvantaged al Qaeda members who look at the U.S. border longingly...

You really shouldn't hit the bong so early in the morning.

He who smelt it, dealt it. Think about it.

There is a big difference between Christian Hispanics and islamofascis, but you already knew that.Oh BTW, did you know that evangelicism is growing fast amongst the Hispanic community. Oh I forgot to you evangelical Christian Hispanics are the same as islamofascists, never mind.

Wise up smart ass, I don't give a tinker's damn if they are Christian Hispanics, Islamofascists, or Buddhist Bombers, if they're crossing that damn border illegally, and if they're in America illegally, I want them OUT, and I want the border laws ENFORCED.

Now meditate on that Brudda.

Maybe they could stop off at GWB's ranch while they're down there and ask him if there is any way possible for him to make it even easier to cross our joke of a border.

lol

Simcox is such a publicity hound.

I think of him as a patriotic, concerned American. If he's seeking publicity about the insanity of this administration's open borders and the millions of illegal aliens who have crossed our borders against American laws, then GOOD FOR HIM! This mess needs to be shouted from the rooftops to wake the idiot politicians up and fear for their jobs.

Even if this is some kind of scouting mission or 'recon' (why would they publicize it?), they are drawing attention to the situation on the border in the context of terrorism. We can make something of this by supplementing their spin (whatever that spin may be) with spin of our own.

Perhaps this is the kind of bump we need to get congress and our President to do what is necessary about the border situation.

Simcox refuses to be interviewed and warned the government about Al-Jazeera.

"How will we get 15 million to return to their home country after their 3-6 year term?"

I suggest the ILLEGALS will all peacefully head back to the homelands they truly love when, and only when, our Federal Officials start putting the greedy and self-serving CEO's, Mgr's and Bosses who hired them in the first place (with-or-without phony documents) in jail for a few years.

PROBLEM SOLVED Presidente Jorge

As a not so insignificant bonus, own LEGAL citizens who have become Welfare addicts will have decent paying entry-level positions to apply for, leaving our liberal Welfare INDUSTRY to care for the minuscule number of LEGAL citizens who deserve our compassionate support -- the blind and the indigent.

Every day, in every way, we get dopier and dopier. Why don't we hand out blueprints of nuclear facilities and how to fly a plane books, while we're at it?

We need to seal the border so tight a flea cannot cross.

Sounds like a plan save fore the fact that we have @ 16,000 miles of inlets, islets, desert and heavily forested borders that would require a million man army to patrol let alone control.

This sounds like a job for super -technology - satellite surveillance with real time ground support and lots of new- high tech gear that would even the odds for coyote against road-runner.

If an aspiring yard man can cross, what is to stop a determined terrorist?

Women and children cross as well judging by an article I read about men, women and a couple children being abandoned in a horse trailer by their slave trader. Apparently it's not too difficult if they're bringing the women and children as well.

Journalism in the employ of terrorism is NOT journalism.

It's terrorism.

JDam their facilities and target these terrorists for assassination.

And don't forget the orbital high-energy laser to quick-fry the liddle bastids as soon as they're 100 yards inside the U.S. border. It won't take but a few crispy critters before the word gets around and the numbers of illegal interlopers drop off drastically.

PS - Hey Pedro? Aluminum foil sombreros won't save you.

Podkayne? I like the way you think.

Doc,

I completely agree with you.

Al-Jazeera is the eyes and ears of Al Qaeda and other terrorists. It’s actually the "legal" investigative arm of terrorists.

Again, it's the "First Amendment Protection Plan" at its best, an equal opportunity protector of terrorists and lefties.

I think it's fascinating Al Jazeera knows our borders are so easy to cross. They are on the other side of the world and they know about the Minutemen!?

I also believe Al Qaeda is already here, this is their joke on us to advertise our open borders now that many have already crossed.

AJ will produce a "how to" course for breaking into the USA for it's terrorist buddies complete with comic books just like Mexico did for a few months back. They are all sitting there laughing at us and wondering how Americans be so damn stupid.
