Yes, the wallowing is over. I'm glad that Jeb Bush did something today. I try to call the US Congress once a week to federalize a ban on starving and dehydrating "anyone" who doesn't have a written directive.

It would be an ironclad protection beyong the guarantees under the US Constitution. If the states fail to provide protection for their citizens (Sen. Jim King & Fla Supremes) who will protect Americans? I'm for a federal ban. This must end.

agreed,The one and only job the federal government has is to protect the Constitutional rights of the citizens of the United States. Some people understand that.

I do think the family should have the right to decide matters involving life support in a case where a person can not communicate and is terminal.

But they need to have consensus and it needs to include parents, children and spouses. And the spouse must not be living with another lover with whom they have children by at the time.

Just for starters...

I agree! Time for Federal ban on starving and deydrating someone to death! I think it is time for this NOW!
