A day after Sen. Norm Coleman implicated a member of Parliament in a U.N. oil-for-food scheme, the British legislator shot back Thursday in a cross-Atlantic exchange of words.
The legislator, George Galloway, likened Coleman to the late Wisconsin Sen. Joseph McCarthy, a characterization that sets the scene for a televised confrontation on Capitol Hill Tuesday, one that could further raise the Minnesota Republican's profile.

I like Tony Blair and I like Jack Straw. But, based on personal experience, Brits, in general, are not our pals.

Being called McCarthy by Galloway is an honor. Galloway is a Saddamite communist.

I wouldn't judge the entire nation by who the media puts on television. I happen to think of the Brits as our allies.

I'm surprised he didn't use the word Nazi. His kind usually do.

The left was strengthened in Britain in the aftermath of the recent election. Charles Kennedy and the LibDems used to be the mainstream left with the others to the right. Now they have Galloway.

This guy is a communist buffoon. "Bring it on", as they say.

Nah, the Brits love their 'nuiance' but when rubber meets the road, they have proven themselves IMO.
As for Gallaway... if there is some grand international bribary conspiracy against the war... he would be the "UK guy" most closely involved.
To: ButThreeLeftsDo
I thought maybe he meant Charlie McCarthy.

Being called McCarthy by Galloway is an honor. Galloway is a Saddamite communist.I thought it was spelled SODOMITE.
Galloway is a carpet-bagger and major Islamofascist apologist, this is akin to being called a slut by Clintoon.

Considering Galloway must have a lawyer on permanent retainer---I hope that Coleman has legitimate and DOCUMENTED evidence because I like Norm Coleman and I don't want this to blow up in his face----or have him get sued!

A compliment to Coleman, I'd say. Though I know Galloway didn't mean it as such.
including but not limited to telephone, fax, e-mail, letter, Morse code or carrier pigeon," Coleman said.
LOL! Love that from Coleman!

Why would George Galloway give Coleman such a complement if he is mad at him? :P
