The war is over for me. I'm coming home soon.

My fellow FREEPers,

I know it's been a while. Well i forgot to duck. By the time most of you see this I will be on my way to Germany for treatment. The war for me is done. My men continue to do the job. This last rash of bombings and attacks are being under reported and I don't know why. Al Queada is getting desparate. I don't know when I'm will RTS. But I do imagine that it will be soon. God I love wireless. LOL! Please keep praying for us.

Ron Dog got the message from one of his comrades --- CLICK.
Apparently, Captain Mike gave his e-mail password to LT Owen, as he was too injured to write...
...but he wanted to let his friends know what has happened to him.
I assume that he gave his FR password to LT Owens as well.
I checked the timestamps, and the FR thread by "Socomofficer" was posted within half an hour of the e-mail to me.
This is NOT a hoax, imho - although the recent thread by Socomofficer may have been posted by one of his men.

And, while it is theoretically possible that Capt. Mike Pierce is not who I think he is, i.e. US Army Special Forces...

...I have SEVERAL friends that have known him from MANY pro-Bush events in Santa Monica -- over a period of SEVERAL MONTHS -- before the Oscar FReep, and before the Sean Hannity event...
...and they all vouch for him, too.

From what I understand, a fellow officer sent the message to RonDog on his behalf.

Yeah.... "Dictated before he lost consciousness." Such nonsense.

So melodramatic: "Go tell the Freepers.... Uhhhhhhhhh....."

Yes, dictated prior to the wounded soldier "losing consciousness" -- but he posted it himself on "wireless" here!

Thanks, Ron. Did the email have a military return address?

And if he is, you've got his picture, name and rank on this thread. Loose lips, y'know.

Guys impersonate SF and Special Ops guys all the time.

The odds of him faking it are greater than the odds of him getting injured and 'dictating an e-mail before he lost consciousness'....

I don't know much. I met Mike at the KABC event. RonDog knows more than I do.

Socom, this veteran salutes you, sir, for your service and sacrifice.

Much hope for a favorable treatment in Germany.

Good luck and be well to you and your troops.

My cousin's son served in Iraq (2 tours), I can not imagine him logging onto FR to send this message.

My cousin is a MP Major. I used to get email from him when he was in Iraq. Don't know if he ever posted here but I can't see why he couldn't if he wanted to.

There are several guys that have posted here or post here now that are in Iraq.

You just got an e-mail from him at the e-mail address he's used previously?

Is that the same address he used while overseas?

"From what I understand, a fellow officer sent the message to RonDog on his behalf."

I have read the message that RonDog posted. If this guy was injured, why is he posting on FR? "The war is over for me", if he is capable of posting a thread, he can't be injured badly, why is the war over for him? Just doesn't add up to me.

Well, I'll just add to my prayers--"Lord, if this guy Mike is a fake, please apply my prayers to a real soldier. Amen."
