Is it possible that the guy never hit his wife? I was not there, and so you. So why is it almost 100% of you guys believe for sure that the husband beat her up, and put her into a coma. Then, he spent years at her bed side helping her. You guys need a hobby or something else to waste your time on.
Not to offend, just wondering what sources you've considered.
If the case for keeping her alive depended on her husband beating her then it is a weak case. The case for letting her live is that we don't kill people who are not dying.
If you think Michael Schiavo is blameless, I'd say you need more than a hobby.
Is it possible that the guy never hit his wife?
=======
Possible but not likely. She would show up at work with bruises all over her body, and told her fellow workers is was caused by wrestling with Mikey. Yeah, sure, nobody who saw her bruises believed it for even 1 second !!!
Then on the fateful night, after she told Mikey she wanted a divorce, she wound up on the floor... half in and half out of the bathroom... laying with her face straight down on the floor and her hands around her neck !!! That's exactly the position she was in when the ER team arrived... not because Mikey called 911 immediately... but only AFTER her brother arrived on the scene !!!
Don't try to tell me that a loving, blameless husband would NOT call 911 immediately... and would NOT cuddle her and put her on the bed or couch for her comfort... not to mention that Mikey REFUSED to give Terri CPR, despite the fact that he was thoroughly trained in such procedures !!!
Now just sit down and shut up, conservlib, cuz you have NO idea what you're talking about !!!
The Schiavo case has far reaching implications and remains worthy of discussion. Those with mentally disabled relatives or who know someone like that are very worried that the govt. will, in its infinite wisdom, decide to pull the plug in some fashion on people it deems 'nonproductive'. And as health dollars get squeezed, this is more likely to happen than not. I think about that Bible quote, 'the lilies of the field who neither toil nor spin' being as worthy as others who do. This is a very slippery slope.
Look at the x-ray evidence of abuse..fractured verterbra, etc within 18 months of Terri's 1990 injury as reported by World Net Daily. Since she wasn't a linebacker for the Dolphins, how else could she have sustained them?
Spare me any retort that WND is biased, I don't want to hear it, after Bernard Goldberg's book on media bias.
I think he did hit her before the accident.....hence why she was scared of him. But, it is possible he didn't after the accident.
Nope. We DON'T KNOW for sure about how Terri got in the shape she was that night that it happened. I've learned the hard way over the years that sometimes a thing can look awful much like it's one thing, when in reality it's another. That can work either way, though. - I just simply don't like Mikey for his sudden memory spurt seven years into the deal and right after the big malpractice settlement paid FOR TERRI'S REHABILITATION, and then in the face of his own common law setup plus two kids with another woman to relentlessly pursue the killing of Terri in spite of her parents' passionate offer to take over Terri's care. It LOOKED LIKE he was afraid he was going to lose out, or worse, if he lost CONTROL . If there are no books or movies coming from Felos and Mikey, I'll be really surprised at Mikey's display of discretion and complete selflessness. IF Mikey had insisted from Day 1 that Terri "didn't want to live like this", it would have looked better for him. As it is, he looks pretty much like a probable cruel, greedy "Felos Flunky".
IF OR WHEN you see a book on the shelf at your nearest Walmart with either Mikey or Felos' big lovable mugs on the cover or a poignant made for tv movie advertised on CBS, remember this.
You know, you're on the wrong side of almost every discussion here! Do you even take a conservative position on anything?
Why don't you explain to us all what "conservlib" means, newbie?
I agree 100% with your views. Do you have a sense that this forum has taken a real destructive tone since the Terry Schiavo case caught the spotlight. I have voted conservative since 1964 (Barry Goldwater) and will never waver from my political stance, but if you don't agree with the zealots on the right you are somehow branded a murderer. That poor woman lay 15 years in a vegetative state (confirmed by many doctors). I really think this forum has been taken over by radicals on the right in the same way the dimocrats have been taken over by the kook fringe on the left.
