Ice tea has caffeine. And caffeine lowers your electrolytes (sp?) and potassium.
After moving south 7 years ago, we were lectured ad naseum by our doctor about drinking enough water and not much caffeine.
My dad had a stroke after working outside in the heat and drinking too much coffee. His electrolytes and potassium were way off as were other things, of course.
