Prayers for my favorite brother-in-law

My brother-in-law, Harvey Adams, has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer which has already spread to the lymph glands. Harvey has Down's Syndrome and is due to celebrate his 69th birthday on the 26th of this month. Sixty nine is extremely long-lived for one with Down's as I understand it. His prognosis is not good, given the cancers.

Harvey has always been the sweetest, nicest, most gentle soul and I love him as dearly as does his sister, my wife. He lives in a small town of around 300 in central Minnesota and it's the kind of situation where he knows everyone, and everyone knows him. The locals have my brother-in-law in their prayers, but I humbly request the efforts of the famous Free Republic Prayer Warriors.

He's residing in an assisted living facility there, as those family close enough to provide him care have died within the past couple of years. My wife will be travelling up in the next few days to be there for his planned birthday celebration - the "New Munich Hofbrau" has been taken over for this!
