Rush just read a statement from a lawyer who was in the room with Terry Schiavo at the time the feeding tube was removed. It was a very moving story. I do not have a link to the story and can not find it on the net.
But if this lawyer is telling the truth, and I have no reason not to believe her, it would be big evidence in this case.
If someone can provide a link, please help!

Recovery
Eye tracking and Emotional responses are the most common ways of determining whether a patient is responding, and therefore no longer in a vegetative state. The first sign of a patient emerging from PVS is the localizing of the eyes on a visual stimulus. This can be observed because persons in a vegetative state are unable to track moving objects or fixate their vision on an object, and as a patient recovers they regain this ability. This type of a response if most often detected by family members or caregivers that have worked directly with the patient. Eye tracking is not necessarily enough to show that a person is recovering from PVS because patients may not show any other evidence of other meaningful response to the environment. More difficulties with eye tracking may come into play because of the possibility of other neurological or ophthalmological damage that may prevent a patient from tracking stimuli. This means that a patient may actually have a degree of recovery that will be missed because it cannot be detected through eye tracking. Emotional response is also difficult to determine because a response must be directly related to specific stimulus. This can be difficult because patients in PVS can scream, cry, grunt or have other actions associated with emotional responses, which are not done in response to stimuli. Therefore significant testing must be done to determine that emotional responses are not being done randomly, but are performed as responses.
A patient recovering from PVS usually recovers in a progressive manner where they move into a post vegetative state. Some patients have recovered significantly. Individuals with relatively short periods of time in PVS have been able to regain nearly normal physical and mental capabilities. There has also been documentation of individuals recovering from periods of PVS lasting over a year who have been able to regain the ability to think, communicate and recover a fair level of physical independence (move without a wheelchair, and feed themselves) (CRA 54).

Rush just said the ABC poll which says the public disapproves of Congress getting involved has been disproven since Congress did act and figured they had better get on board with President Bush. hahahaha!
I don't know if that's true. Alot of people I have talked to, who appear to have paid attention think she should have the feeding tube removed. They seem to put alot of faith in the fact that a court ruled thus and such.

I don't think the public has any recent evalutions of Terri. The few things that I have seen on her list her as being in a vegetative state. I don't see on what basis this would allow anyone to remove her feeding tube.
What about the bone scans Terri had years ago ,shortly after she was admitted to the nursing home for physical therapy ,when Terri cried out in pain, doctors ordered a bone scan which revealed excessive trama, fractures ect .The doctor stated that these injurie's were healing at different stages and so not all occured at the same time and also that these injurie's had to have been sustained within the prior 18 months of the actual event that placed her in medical care . when the Doctor was asked how these injurie's could have been sustained ,his reply ...

Why is it that michael has been spent all these years HOPING Terri would die....forbiding any medical care that may improve her condition ....? Is there a REAL fear that she may be able to mumble the scenario that led her to this state ......I can't beleive that this is happening in America ...Judge Greer needs to be moved from the BENCH ..immediately!

He is a pretender husband, living with another woman with whom he has even had two children. This is beyond belief!
Michael Schiavo should have been removed as guardian when he started cohabiting with some other woman, and most certainly when he started producting illegitmate children!
Terri Schiavo does not have the love of her so called "husband", for he wants to kill her. God help her!
Honestly, I think that most Americans don't understand the details of this case. Many people think that this is a matter of someone on artificial life support and that it is a matter of simply "pulling the plug," all of which is untrue.
A lot of recent reports have called Terri 'brain dead'--I think that explains the poll results to some extent. Terri is brain damaged, but she's not brain dead.
I wonder what the results of a poll would be if ABC asked the people interviewed if they approved of killing brain damaged people by letting them die of thirst? That is what really happens when 'feeding tubes' are removed.

I don't really disagree with you. I'm suspect of all sides of this case and still feel the underline issue is money. The husband stands to get millions in book, movie, etc. rights. If it did not reach a media frenzy Congress wouldn't give hoot about her or cases like hers.
Must be about to happen, Hannity would never self-promote.

Terri's brother had to correct Glenn Beck this morning who was playing the Drudge audio.
The brother said that audio was not taken when the tube was removed but from an earlier recording.
It's to the point now you don't know what is fact and what is fiction.
fact is, a helpless disabled lady is being starved while the world jerks around. it's simple.
