To this point methadone is one of the more sucsessful methods of threating heroine addiction. Bupropion has proven to be a very effective aid to stop smoking.
Is that anything like Wellbutrin (Zyban)? I can't recall the actual (or generic) name of it, but I do know that it's a psychosomatic (hope I spelled that right, lol) drug. I tried it during one of my practice quitting sessions, and thought it was absolutely wretched stuff. Insomnia coupled with technicolor dreams when I did manage to squeeze in a couple of hours, and zilcho effect on the cravings. Grrr!

Wellbutrin makes some folks incredibly nervous.
