Advocacy Group Blasts 'Lack of Inclusiveness' in Teen Sex Poll
By Susan Jones

(CNSNews.com) - A homosexual advocacy group is upset with an NBC News/People magazine poll that questioned teenagers about their sexual attitudes and experiences -- but did not include questions about sexual orientation.

The results of the poll are published in the Jan 27 issue of People and were broadcast on Katie Couric's recent special, "The 411: Teens & Sex."

"While the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association applauds the efforts of NBC News and People Magazine in commissioning a landmark poll of teenagers and their sexual attitudes, perceptions and practices, we are disappointed and concerned by the poll's decided lack of inclusion of questions pertaining to sexual identity of lesbian, gay, bisexual or questioning (LGBQ) youth," said Joel Ginsberg, executive director of GLMA.

He said his group has asked to meet with the editorial boards of NBC News and People magazine - "to educate them about the unique health issues faced by LGBQ youth."

Rob Garofalo, a GLMA board member who has studied "risk behaviors in gay and lesbian youth," said LGBQ youth are "woefully underrepresented" in research on teen sex and sexuality.

He said the NBC /People study represented a significant "missed opportunity" to gain a better understanding of the sexual attitudes and practices of LGBQ youth -- who may be at an increased risk of sexually transmitted diseases and HIV.

God forbid you focus on the sexual preference displayed by 95% or more of the population.

I would say it's even higher than that.

Read the World Book Encyclopedia. It says questioning is normal for almost all kids. At least the 2000 edition does. (Aee adolescence)) But I also have a 1993 edition which says no such thing.

Since when does homosexual groups think that they have a right to dictate poll questions? If they want a poll, they can pay for it themselves. Boo Hooo.

I guess they didn't see that study of the midwest high school that had a grand total of 3 gay couplings of which 2 were bisexual.

Yet another Politically-Correct publication, eh? Of course the individual articles are written by authors--but then reviewed by editors....some obviously with agendas....

Yeah. We were shocked. I called and complained, and they just said, "But it's true." I said that it wasn't for me or my husband, to name just two.

Seriously, if you get a chance to, read it -- all of it. It sure didn't read like an encyclopedia entry to me. The 2000 version is much longer than the 1993 version. They didn't improve it.

Silly faggots, we don't need to be asking teens about their sexual attitudes, we need to be teaching them to have proper sexual attitudes.

Don't even get me started about why faggots need their own medical association. If that isn't a sign of the apocalypse, I don't know what is.

Shalom.

Nothing but an attempt to push those children who have molested by homosexuals into "locking" their future recreational sex.

Imagine to what recruiting and molestation the child who answers in any pro-homo fasion. The GLSEN and GSA clubs will go into overdrive to recruit. Odd how we now have new homo-alphabet organizations.

Homosexuals are just propaganda Nazis.

Funny you brought that up, my wife and I talked that last night...and we're not even Baptists. When nearly 50% of our population believes in moral relativism; when abortion, perversion and anti-religion sentiment themes their politics we wonder if Rapture isn't around the corner.

we wonder if Rapture isn't around the corner.

If this is not the end times for the world, it appears to be the end times for what we now know of as western civilization.

If we don't find some Frodo to destroy some magic ring, I don't know if we will stand against the evil power that is rising in the east.

And I'm not talking about Islam, although Islam may well be its instrument.

Shalom.

I feel funny talking about it. My born again buddy’s ministers have been preaching it for years now; trying to connect the dots to the prophecy before it happens. I just don’t think you can tell before it happens, some where I read in the New Testament it says you can’t tell until after the Rapture. It was a weird conversation last night with my wife because we never talked about it before... after 20 years of marriage that is. If the rest of the world, i.e. Europe, Canada, South America, et all is liberal, and our country is 50%/50%, how long is it going to take for conservatism to die out? That’s my worry.

BTW you didn’t get back to me on Silver Dollar City…I have fond memories of Table Rock lake, Cassville and that area in general.
