With over 4,500 people showing up to the Ayres Hotel in Anaheim, John & Ken will do one more broadcast to help the SaveOurLicense.com people gather signatures. John & Ken will be taking the show to Ontario, where last year, we had 4,100 sign up. So the challenge has been issued to all our Inland Empire listeners, to make this the biggest event yet! We want all our listeners to join the John & Ken Show at the Ayres Hotel in Ontario, February 4th, from 3-7pm. Remember, the petition you are signing is to stop illegals and terrorists from getting their hands on a California Driver License.

According to an article from the Sacramento Bee dated Sunday, January 30th, Congressman Darrell Issa’s consultant Dave Gilliard of Rescue California claims that Issa donated $100,000 and 100,000 signatures to Save Our License. According to Mike Spence from Save Our License, none of this is true. We are not getting any answers from Issa, Gilliard or the Sacramento Bee so its time to hit the phones ! Read the article here.

I spoke with John Franklin at Issa's DC office. He says they've put forth a tremendous effort, and SaveOurLicense is wrong about the 5000 figure. He said he'd call John & Ken about this, so I'd probably expect to hear about this on their show today.

After three phone referrals, I just spoke to a Karen in the Issa campaign office. I told her that we are merely trying to clarify the signature status and that the Sac Bee has published a rather confusing article on Issa and the signatures.
Karen claims that Issa spent about $100,000 on mailing petitions and emailing his constituent base.
Karen said Issa mailed out 30,000 petitions - households that on average had around 3 or 4 eligible signers or so. She said they enclosed a prepaid envelope to return to Issa or at their own expense the signer could mail the petition to SOL.
Karen said they have obtained about 5,000 signatures from that mailing and that more are coming in.
She said they emailed out to 800,000 constituent email base to download and send in the petition.
I asked her if she would call the John and Ken show just to clarify this and she said something like statements will be forthcoming or something like that and that they had been bombarded with phone calls.
