NEW YORK CBS honcho Leslie Moonves and his bride, "The Early Show" anchor Julie Chen, are enjoying a Mexican honeymoon after getting married last week.
They were married at sunset Dec. 23 at a private home in Mexico, and honeymooned at the posh Las Ventanas resort in Cabo San Lucas.
Moonves, 55, has guided CBS to the top of the ratings and was rewarded this year with the co-presidency of Viacom, the network's corporate parent. He was divorced earlier this month from his first wife, Nancy, after 24 years of marriage.
Chen, 34, has moonlighted as host of the CBS reality show "Big Brother." She wore an ivory gown designed by Reem Acra.

So basically he's our of town when this all finally goes down?

I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer for.
Who paid for this investigation, or did Boccardi-Thornburgh do this entirely pro-bono?

This is where even the report is double talk. If the end conclusion is that there was "No political Agenda involved..." Then why, in the beginning of the report does it state
CBS, in its "myopic zeal" to be first with the story, sacrificed accuracy and did not meet CBS's internal standards. The word "MYOPIC" is specifically descriptive! Myopic Definition: narrow minded, bigoted, prejudiced, intolerant definitions that can even be found in the Thesaurus in Microsoft word. The report first states that prejudice IS EXACTLY what was found - then it back-peddles and states that there is "no political agenda." SO Which is it that they are telling us? Did Kerry write the report???

If the criteria for employment is being fair and unbiased , then they should fire everyone at CBS.

Glad to be getting all of them, weegee, thanks. This is such delicious news, I don't mind reading a lot of stories about it. (And, I admit, gloating as I read...)

CBS blames the "urge to be first." No political bias was found.
And they weren't looking for any, either.

Exactly. They never would have been so sloppy, if they hadn't got by with it before.

Can anyone rationally claim that Rather, Mapes, and the other conspirators did not hate Bush, and, that there was nothing they would not do to see him defeated?
This was a blatant, cynical ploy by the Powers that Be in MSM to feed false information to the American people and fraudulently effect the result of the election. The "last minute hit," coming too late in the campaign for effective rebuttal, is a time-honored political tactic.
Moonves' disingenuous letter denying political bias is the final lie putting an end to any remaining MSM credibility.

Fire Dan Rather.
Tar and feather and roast him like a marshmallow.
To: ScholarWarrior
What this really needs is for Fox News to do a 60 Minutes style piece ... you know, the kind where they sneer when someone won't grant an interview, omit any exculpatory evidence, blame the guy at the top for not knowing tires blow out, tailor reporting to lead to a preconceived conclusion...
"Was the 60 Minutes segment designed to turn the tide of the Presidential election. No one can know for sure, but before the segment aired the producer, Mary Mapes, contacted the communications director for the Kerry Campaign in connection with the matter. Coincidence - or coordination?"

Tonight on O'Reilly, Liz Trotta and Deborah Potter, both former CBS correspondents completely fried Mapes and CBS. Calling Mapes a phsycopathic liar and CBS Bush-haters. OR: .... "whooooaaa, that's strong."
OR was steamed because of the Kerry-camp connection... rightfully.
See it at 11:00 Eastern.

I have no objection. I still want to see him in feathers. Maybe a feather boa and high heels. In prison with some huge guy named Stinky.

It was the email sent to staffers from Les Moonves. We have a friend that works for CBS in Chicago and she sent it over as soon as she got it.
