With the fantastic response of the previous day of prayer, Faith, OhioWFan, Kayak and those involved with the Pray for Bush effort are offering Freepers the opportunity to once again bathe the President in prayer between now and the completion of the 3rd debate. With the dirty tricks being played by the left, I'm sure you can agree that this is needed and welcomed. Please pick an hour listed below (in Eastern Standard Time) let us know if you would like to participate. More than one person may sign up for a particular time, but let's try to fill each slot first so that we definately have all 24 hours covered.

God Bless you & President Bush!

O Lord,

As Your children come before You in prayer today, hear the cries of our hearts and answer us according to Your lovingkindness and Your tender mercies. We long for an America that returns to Your righteousness and Your truth, as we lift up faith-filled prayers for a leader whose heart belongs to You. Father, please make each of our prayers bear a sweet fragrance, rising up to You on the wings of faith, and covered with the joyful anticipation of the amazing power that will be unleashed in Your perfect response. And may each prayer warrior who has faithfully chosen to spend time with You for this noble cause, be rewarded ten times over by the special blessings of peace that You will impart to their hearts as they pray. O Lord, in the Name of Jesus, may our prayers be blessed. Amen.

Can you edge me in somewhere around 5:00pm?

I'll see if I can get a few moments alone with the Master...

Hi friends. This debate takes place in AZ, a land of deserts. This passage in the Bible seems fitting and it is my prayer that this is what we shall see:

Isaiah 35 (NIV)

Joy of the Redeemed

1 The desert and the parched land will be glad;
the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
Like the crocus,
2 it will burst into bloom;
it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
they will see the glory of the LORD ,
the splendor of our God.

3 Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees that give way;
4 say to those with fearful hearts,
"Be strong, do not fear;
your God will come,
he will come with vengeance;
with divine retribution
he will come to save you."

5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
6 Then will the lame leap like a deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams in the desert.
7 The burning sand will become a pool,
the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
In the haunts where jackals once lay,
grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.

8 And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness.
The unclean will not journey on it;
it will be for those who walk in that Way;
wicked fools will not go about on it. [1]
9 No lion will be there,
nor will any ferocious beast get up on it;
they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed will walk there,

10 and the ransomed of the LORD will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you that we can come together freely to praise You, worship You and bring our petitions to You. Father You are the maker of the universe and the giver of life. You hold all things in Your hands. We lift up President Bush to You and ask that You are preparing him even now, emotional, mentally, physically and most of all spiritually for tonight's debate. Give him wisdom, knowledge, understanding and discernment. Let him answer every question with confidence and clarity. Give him words to let people see he will lead this country to a better place as he trust in You. I pray that the scales placed on the eyes of Kerry, as well as much of our country & the world, be lifted, so they see Your truth. Let them hear the good news, turn to You and be saved. We pray for a great revival in this nation. One unparalleled since You walked the earth. Let this revival touch every person, even the media. Lord, nothing is impossible for You. Move that mountain Lord. And again, be with President Bush. Fill him to overflowing with your Holy Spirit and guide his every word and action. We give You all the glory and honor in You precious Son's Jesus name we pray. Amen

I have to split up my time, but I'll take 2:00-2:30 and 3:30-4 ...and every time I think about it for the rest of the day.

I had never tried to pray for one thing for an hour and, frankly, I wasn't that good at it. I settled for doing my regular prayers and just returning to that topic as often as I could.

You did fine, God was listening! God knows what is in your heart. I use scripture reading, song, gazing at nature while keeping the prayer subject in my mind, all in addition to quiet prayer during these efforts.

We are communicating with God and bringing the President before Him in prayer. :^)

Perfect Bible passage for tonight!

I just prayed it with you.

Our Precious Master, our hearts are rejoicing before You with a Great Joy at all You are accomplishing here in the midst of Your cherished children, Sweet King. We Thank You for knitting our souls together in Christ for this Marvellous Work, and can but look on in Awe and Amazement, Glorifying our Merciful God from our hearts for Your Lovingkindness toward the sons and daughters of Your Love.

Accept our Worship, O God Most Holy, and be Glorified in the Petitions of Your saints, Sweet Master. May our brother-President shine forth tonight with the Radiance of Christ, and for Your Glory, O Merciful and Royal Sovereign, amen.

Merciful and Great God, Creator of all that was, is, and will be.

You, alone, are worthy of everlasting praise. You alone are the Master of the past, present, and future and You are faithful, righteous, and true in all your judgements. You've heard the cry of your people and have answered - not that we are the least deserving of your consideration - but because You have mercy upon your creation.
Blessed is the God of our salvation!

Gladly, we lift your name in worship because You are God, Jehovah, our Deliverer and Redeemer. O Lord, have compassion upon us who have offended; open our hearts that we may find our eternal peace exists only in You.

Now, O Lord, we lift our earthly leaders' names before You, seeking your precious divine guidance for them - that your name may be glorified in the courses of men. I join this plea with my brothers and sisters in Christ, pleading for your mercy, asking that You wash us of our iniquity and for You to clothe us in your righteousness, for your presence to be apparent among us, working freely and unhindered by our sin. I plead that You, in proportion to your jealousy to be our God, would grant persons across America similar jealousy to be your servants.

I make this plea before you as your servant in Christ. Nevertheless, conform me to your service and this soul shall be satisfied...
