We do what we do at FreeRepublic because we care about this country and are worried about our security.
I suspect even a lot of the media has forgotten the stories Osama and Iraq from before 911. They've gotten caught up in the spin. How many remember that Osama was indicted in US District Court in 1998?
Kerry either does not know about the connection, and thus unfit to be president, orKerry is lying, thus unfit to be president.
Of course, the later is true.
In '97 and '98, Kerry was on CNN and ABC respectively espousing pre-emptive action in Iraq. He said that regardless of the UN's approval (!) it would show leadership if Clinton took care of the Iraq problem.
He also had harsh words for France and Germany and admitted even then that it was well known that those two countries would not support any action in Iraq.
He was also advocating American boot on the ground to force regime change.
That only the Washington Times has reported on this, last week, shows just how lame Old Media has become. Freepers have known this about Kerry and have had the links of the transcripts for months.

Now if this can only be posted on the MSM and have honest journalists tell this story on the MSM...

The answer is obvious! They are building a fake case to protect Willie. Willie was taking cash from the Saudis and, indirectly, from Saddam through oil vouchers to Marc Rich and others, to not kill OBL. That's what all the misses were about.
It didn't matter before 9-11. The UN and French would keep playing tag with Saddam and OBL would be off in the mountains doing whatever. Willie got paid to leave OBL alone and one of Willie's sewer dwellers had to meet with Saddam's people and OBL's people to set ground rules, compare notes and transfer cash. Of course there was a connection and Willie was involved.
That's why the 9-11 Commission was so easy on Bush. It was a trade off, "We'll leave Bush alnoe if you leave Clinton alone." Willie was involved in the late '90s and the dem silliness on the "no connection" nonsense is just an effort to protect him. It happens that the story fits well into "Viet Cong" Kerry's efforts because it gives him a basis for differentiation.
My bet is that if you identify some of the top neocommunists in Willie's administration involved in Middle East affairs and find where they were prior to one of Willie's pitty-pats at OBL, you can find a meeting between OBL, Willie's rep and Saddam's rep and, maybe, a Palestinian rep.
Looks like the state Department has removed the live link -- or moved it.
The Press release from 1998 on bin Laden's indictment was straightforward. It said al Qaeda and Iraq were working together sepcifically for weapons development. That means WMD.
I've also taken some articles and created a new .html file so that they are easy to read. Usually for articles that don't have an online link. And then linked them to my other web sites.

I had the direct link to the Justice Department's indictment against OBL which mentioned his connections with Saddam but you are correct...it's been removed from the web site and no longer available.
