John Kerry has accused Republicans of questioning his patriotism. Why not question Kerry's patriotism? Should not a candidate for the Presidency of the United States be patriotic? Should he not love and be loyal to the land he hopes to lead? I say yes, and I will question Kerry's patriotism.
Sen. Kerry has a record of engaging in activity that falls just short of treason; he has aided and abetted enemies of the United States.
Kerry has falsely maligned U.S. soldiers as war criminals:
"They told stories that at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam..." (Vietnam Veterans Against the War Statement by John Kerry to the Senate Committee of Foreign Relations, April 23, 1971.)
Kerry's speeches were used by the Viet Cong to demoralize American soldiers held as prisoners of war:
"Paul Galanti learned of Kerry's [1971] speech while held captive inside North Vietnam's infamous 'Hanoi Hilton' prison. The Navy pilot had been shot down in 1966 and spent nearly seven years as a prisoner of war...During torture sessions, he said, his captors cited the antiwar speeches as 'an example of why we should cross over to [their] side." (Los Angeles Times, Feb. 17, 2004)
Kerry allied himself with enemies of the United States and took part in demonstrations in which American flags were desecrated and American soldiers denigrated:
John Kerry headed the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, described as "revolutionary Communists" by the Boston Herald Traveler, which reported an "abundance of Vietcong flags, clenched fists raised in the air, and placards in support of China, Cuba, the USSR, North Korea and the Hanoi government. "Under Kerry's leadership, VVAW members mocked the uniform of United States soldiers by wearing tattered fatigues marked with pro-communist graffiti. They dishonored America by marching in demonstrations under the flag of the Viet Cong enemy." (Chuck Noe, "What You Don't Know About John Kerry," January 20, 2004, Newsmax.)
Kerry's book, The New Soldier, displayed VVAW members mocking the marines at Iwo Jima and holding an American Flag upside down. "These people spit on the flag, they burn the flag, they carry the flag upside down, [and] they all but wipe their noses with it in their efforts to show their contempt for everything it still stands for." Kerry's statements show contempt for America:
"Our democracy is a farce; it is not the best in the world." — John Kerry in a 1971 speech at West Virginia's Bethany College
Sen. Kerry met with the Viet Cong government to negotiate a peace settlement without the authorization of our government:
"I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government and of all eight of Madam Binh's points it has been stated time and time again, and was stated by Senator Vance Hartke when he returned from Paris, and it has been stated by many other officials of this Government, if the United States were to set a date for withdrawal the prisoners of war would be returned." Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
Sen. Kerry dismisses his lack of patriotism by noting his service. It would be beyond folly to forgive Kerry's actions on the basis of the four months he served in Vietnam. Had Kerry been the greatest war hero our nation has ever known, he would still be capable of holding unpatriotic beliefs and engaging in seditious activities. The most famous traitor in our nation's history, Benedict Arnold, was also one of our nation's greatest war heroes. In a saner period of history, Sen. Kerry would be tried for treason, not running for President.

The man is a traitor just like clintoon, his mentor. What makes people think that he's a patriot--the medals he "won" in 'Nam?
Since he was sent out of the country from his youngest days, he clearly has NO allegiance to America but feels more akin to the french way of life.

I think that patriotism is the wrong word. I question his loyalty to his own country. John Kerry puts his own self interests above his country.
He gets all hot and bothered about this because he does hate America alot more than the average bear!
Read his father's book. It really is a window into Kerry's warped concept of America.
Besides his waffling on every issue of importance and not really having a coherent plan for what he would do should he become president, Kerry should NOT be president for his traitorous actions alone.
When I was asked by a Kerry supporter why I wasn't voting for Kerry, I told him that I had voted in every presidential election since 1972, and did not plan to EVER cast my vote for a man who betrayed his countrymen.
Not anymore. There is no longer any such words in English as treason and sedition.
I no longer trust The Sheep. They are still in love with The Left, and hey always will be.

Just what would someone have to do to be accused of treason these days? The pitiful truth is that if Bush were assassinated by a terrorist (God forbid!!!), Terry McAulife and Paul Begala would say he just had it coming to him.
John Kerry is a traitor and that's all there is to it. 'nuff said.
O'Reilly called Kerry a patriot. Kerry has admitted that he committed war crimes in Viet Nam. Kerry radically opposed the Viet Nam war when he returned home by joining the VVAW who voted to assassinate congressional leaders. Kerry's voting record for nearly 20 years as a US Senator shows that he was against every defense system that would be used to protect us. How anyone, O'Reilly included, can label this opportunistic pathological liar a patriot is beyond me?
Why is this even an issue of discussion?????
It should represent a basis for putting him in jail !!!!
