Now I totally oppose Kerry, but going after him for shooting a VC, unless charlie had his hands in the air and was clearly not pulling any tricks is pure partisanship or foolishness.
Killing the enemy is a big part of a warrior's job. If the enemy can be killed from behind, while they are eating, praying, sleeping, or otherwise unable to fight effectively that is great.
Do you really want American warriors to only attack the enemy when the enemy sees them, is in a good position, and has plenty of equipment?
