Did the dad do anything? Say anything?

Has the White House? The RNC?

In short, are we still being good little Republican
victims?

They later surrounded him, rather than apologizing, when they saw the camera and imagined the fallout, it appears they wanted to cover the incedent up with their signs;

Sophia Parlock, 3, cries while seated on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, a supporter of President Bush (news - web sites), after a Bush-Cheney sign she and her father were holding was torn up by another person standing in the crowd that had gathered to greet Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. John Edwards (news - web sites), D-N.C., Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va. At right, is Alex Parlock, 11, Sophia's brother. (AP Photo/Randy Snyder)

In a related story, the Goon is still smirking, and the grinning moron in the left background is still holding his sign upside down.

i've never been a good little pubbie...in fact I'm not really a pubbie even though they sure get into my cookies a lot during elections

i like W....I wish he could really do all he'd like

in the meantime, he (they) sure beat the alternative

meanwhile....I stared down some metro looking fop today who had a Bush...Like A Rock...Only Dumber...bumpersticker....he boogied off....down here very few lefties have stones.

these "kerry supporters" are so angry.....they hate what conservatism stands for morally.....it ain't the war or taxes....it's the culture stuff....it drives em nuts....they think they are fighting evil...me

they want to play, I'm game....but not with my little kids in tow....that is irresponsible...my first duty is to try to extricate my wee ones from danger first if possible

I have a better chance of stopping a hurricane by spitting in its general direction than this story has of getting on that show;)

The people at DUh are:

1) Blaming the father
2) Not caring (quote: de widdle repuke had her liddle sign torn all up)
3) Blaming Rove (A republican plant)

Conclusion: Once again, Michael Savage is right. Liberalism is a mental disease.

These "people" are a waste of oxygen.

In a sane society, the IUPAT goon would have been identified by now, and tarred and feathered, then run out of town on a rail.

I don't think it would be smart for the father to let go of that little girl around democrats to take care of the jerks --- anyhow it was a good lesson for the child --- she's finding out at a good age what democrats are all about.

straight from DU...

"Kids cry when they get punished, right? Well, what's the difference here - she got punished for being a proto-fascist! It takes a village to raise a child - especially when the dad's obviously not doing his job."

sadly, this seems to be the prevailing sentiment over there...unbelievable.

Not all union members are scum, the vast majority of union people I know, even the Democrats, would not condone this guy's rotten behavior toward the girl. From my experience, the political true believers and visible activists are in a minority. I was in a union for 16 years and the people I knew laughed at the national propaganda and went ahead and voted for Republicans. But the vocal and visble element tends to make us all look like far-left class strugglers from the '30s.

At times like this, I thank God I live in Texas. Justice would be served quickly with a few words and a broken nose if needed..

Which, might I add, would be served out to a radical Bush supporter he behaved like that in front of a kerry supporter's kid.

That's how my wife would handle it anyway. Don't get me started on what I would do if I had to step in.. ;)

Exactly. Their ability to use violence against us with impunity says two things: One, this is how they use power when they have it. Two, there is still not a genuine right in this country. A fledgling right, perhaps -- as represented by FReep in particular. But not a serious right. Perhaps we'll have one before this election is over. Here's hoping.

But the evidence for it is thin.

I gotta question Dad's judgement regarding allowing a three-year-old to display such a sign a 'rat' rally in the first place; let alone bringing her to such an event! However, had it been me, I'd have ripped-off the malefactor's head and sh*t down his neck!

I do not know how to get the picture on this site (no place to put it, but there is a thread on fark.com talking about Rumsfeld giving Aljeezera crap about being in cahoots with the terrorists and about 3/4 the way down that thread there is a picture of the father punching the guy on his right.... Too cool.

dad = iaff local pres. sad to say little regard for his world view. bud = (more conservative than you) rustbelt union player who scammed the system for early lucrative retirement. bro= middle age former steel worker w/o skills. me = teamster for two jobs. 1) show up at union hall early, pay a buck to join union for the day, and hope to get picked to be a helper on a pop truck. good-for-a-kid cash bucks daily. driver had to pay for lunch, and, if at pepsi, a special mixture was available at a nickle a glass. 2) international salt co. (sterling) 1500 ft below lake erie. apprentice electrician. fired for sleeping on the job. union was powerless to help as firing was within my probation period. i took the middle aged goats for lots of cash at saturday night pokers. HA! i used to split at midnight to go do something cool and they would bitch i was leaving with their money. union dopes. the i moved to boston and learned the facts of life. in a nutshell violent encounters. at least then they were tough. and a long time ago maybe they were a good thing. now they are victims. how the hell does anyone think they will get ahead if their number one premise is they hate their boss? number two is they will crap on the customer to prove number one. more pay! less work! tell that shit to those of us who work. i stand by scum. and thanks for your support!
