Group Hopes To Show Ads To People Of All Ages

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Many shoppers on the Country Club Plaza said they were shocked by anti-abortion advertisements on the sides of trucks that trolled the business district Monday.

The Center for Bio-Ethical Reform is behind the graphic photographs seen by hundreds Monday, KMBC's Maria Antonia reported. The group describes itself as a pro-life educational organization.

"I call it a weapon of mass instruction. We're going to see thousands and thousands of people this week while we're here in Kansas City," said Bill Calvin, a field manager with the group.

Calvin added that the images of aborted fetuses are designed to educate voters about abortion in key election states.

I used to live on the Plaza just until last Feb. Where was the KC Star when the Barnes & Pedophile put the huge display of the kiddie porn book in their front window?

That's what happens when reality strikes. Bites, doesn't it?

What'll they think of next? Ads on the sides of trucks! Well, land o' Goshen and glory be! You folks in Kansas have hit the Big Time now. Trucks with signs on 'em! Just damn. No wonder it was on the TV news.

I should think the aborted babies suffer more, though. Poor shoppers--all that "shock" to contend with.

You can leave a comment there. I started reading some of the liberal pro-abortion comments and got VERY angry:

A mother is offended that her child saw the abortion pictures...and somebody else called the pictures "filth". GRRRrrrrr.

But no compassion for that HUMAN BEING that was slaughtered!!!

I agree wholeheartedly.

I still prefer to call it INFANTICIDE or BABY KILLING.

"abortion" has become toooo neutered a word.

I noticed that too. It's small and blurred. That's *EXACTLY* why these trucks need to be out there.

Here's my unedited comment, submitted to the Media censors, under the screenname ilean30:

This is completely acceptable and long overdue. We show our children photos of death camps from Nazi Germany in school, and as a culture encourage them to fuel themselves with violent content of film, tv and music but abortion is talked about in hushed, secretive tones with Madison Ave.-worth, soft-sell terms like "choice," "a women's right," "reproductive rights."

One comment says anti-war folks could show pictures of injured or killed soldiers. We see that too. On the news. But you don't see the partially decayed and skeletal remains of the Iraqi mass graves on the news, do you? No, of course not. People with a specific political agenda are afraid of truth, afraid of reality, afraid of hard facts whether it's the horrors in Saddam's Iraq or what really happens when you have your baby, your unborn child removed from your womb.

These people want to control the dialog in order to control opinion. They don't want informed discussion, or informed women. These billboards are about sharing the TRUTH and shining light on the masked reality of an abortion.
