Muslim extremists told to call off rally (LONDON)

An extreme Muslim group was today warned to abandon plans to stage a demonstration in Trafalgar Square amid fears of a race riot.

Ken Livingstone and the London Assembly told the leader of Al Muhajiroun to call off the gathering planned for tomorrow or risk prosecution under London by-laws.

Far-Right groups such as the British National Party and the National Front are planning a counter demonstration and the Mayor is worried that the event will descend into violence.

Al Muhajiroun triggered outrage in 2001 when it praised the September 11 hijackers as "the Magnificent 17". It has been condemned by moderate Muslim groups for its extreme anti-Semitic and anti-gay views.

In his letter to Al Muhajiroun's leader Anjem Choudary, Mr Livingstone said his group did not have permission to hold a rally in Trafalgar Square and had not applied for permission.

The Mayor's spokesman said: "No response has so far been received."

London Assembly member Murad Qureshi issued a strong message that Al Muhajiroun is not welcome in Trafalgar Square. He has also made it clear that Far-Right extremist groups will be equally unwelcome.

He said: "This illegal demonstration is the last thing we need for community relations in London. The views of this fringe organisation are extreme and offensive to other communities."

I say find an empty field for them both to demonstrate on - and then they can kill each other. Both the BNP and the Muslim extremists are scum.

Magnificent 17? Don't they have enough fingers and toes to count to 19?

Ken will solve the problem by putting a tax on them! ;-)

Why is it only the extreme racist groups that are protesting Al Muhajiroun's offensiveness. Shouldn't all decent people and parties object to the hatred of non-Muslims promoted by this evil group?

I see this createn has crawled out of his dark slimy hole-in-the-ground again...

FLASHBACK:

Muslims put up a poster on the Finsbury Park Mosque, North London, before a conference organised by militant groups on "September 11th, the lessons, benefit and harm," on Wednesday.

Al Muhajiroun, British National Party and the National Front.

A pox on both their houses. Put them both in a big arena give them sticks and knives, let them beat the crap out of each other, shoot those left standing. I'd pay cash money to see that.

Back in the 20's and early 30's, the German Communists were acting up and raising hell. The only people willing to take them on in street fighting were the Nazi Brownshirts.

The rest, unfortunately, was history.

Islamic demo will go ahead in London despite official ban
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20040724/wl_uk_afp/britain_religion_islam_040724095024&e=4

LONDON (AFP) - The radical Muslim group Al-Muhajiroun will not back down from plans to hold a demonstration on Sunday in central London despite a ban imposed by the city authorities and their threat to sue the organisers.

AFP/File Photo

"Al-Muhajiroun do not have permission to hold a rally on Trafalgar Square and they have not applied for permission," a spokesperson for the city authorities said. The city had sent a letter to the head of the group's British branch but had received no reply.

Up to 700 sympathisers are expected to attend the event, aimed at converting non-Muslims to the faith. There are fears that the extreme-right British National Party (BNP) might organise a rival demonstration in Trafalgar Square, a favourite haunt of tourists in London.

The Muslim Parliament, an umbrella for a number of mainstream Muslim organisations in Britain, condemned the proposed march.

"To allow Al-Muhajiroun to use a public place like Trafalgar Square is simply unacceptable," said parliament leader Ghayasuddin Siddiqui. The work of proselytisation, he added, should be confined to mosques and islamic centres.

Have you seen this article or similar? If they are allowed to march at Trafalgar Square without a permit, it will be one more blatant example of how the militant muslim does not intend to follow the laws of the infidels.

What is the buzz in London today?
