Congratulations on the arrival of little Emma Clare. What a lovely name. We have three boys and one girl, too, and our girl is named Clare! She's #3 in the family, and she can hold her own with her two older and one younger brothers.

I also want to ask for your prayers for Diane, (and Nicole and Kent). She has cancer, just diagnosed a few weeks ago, and the prognosis is not good. The oncologist now believes it started in her uterus, and has spread to her lungs and also some lymph nodes. Surgery is not an option, and she is getting radiation treatments right now. According to Nicole, she may have very little time left, perhaps a month or two, so please pray for her to have minimal pain and suffering, and for comfort for the kids as well.

This is so hard for me to take in; when it's someone your own age, that you are so close to, it really hits hard.

It causes headaches, dizziness, numbness, memory loss...(in extreme cases it could lead to paralysis) all kinds of nice symptoms. The only treatment is surgery, so I'm pretty nervous about it.

Isn't this amazing???? A wonderful group of caring people who have come together in support, love, hope and prayer for all of those in need! Thank you God for this vehicle in which so much good is being done.

M0sby... to you a very special thanks. You have such a full house on your own, and yet you find time to devote to this thread. A labor of love we all appreciate.

Heavenly Father, we come before You seeking Your comfort for all in need. Hear the prayers of all who seek aid and comfort from You. Heal the sick, touch those in need as only You can do. Protect our troops who are in harms way and give strength to their families.

We give thanks to You for all of Your goodness that You have bestowed on many of us. We strive to understand when our prayers are heard, but not answered in the we had hoped. It reminds us that "Thy will be done".

Grant us love and peace as we enter this Holiday season. May all who gather here know You, serve You and rejoice with family and friends in honor of You.

Thank God for His love and the love you all show for Him by your love for each other.

(Moma sees the radiology oncologist/therapist tomorrow to find out about her radiation therapy. The margins weren't quite all clear, and the type of cells are just too risky to leave lying around. She has healed very well from the surgery and is slowly getting her strength back. And she's finally sleeping better. Thank you all.)

Bless you, M0sby,, for keeping PoisedWoman's prayer request for her son on this list. I finally had a conversation with him two days ago and he's doing very well indeed, has a wonderful new job, seemed happy to talk to me. Thanks to all here for praying for him, and please keep it up. He needs prayers to stay away from alcohol, which has given him problems in the past and may still beckon to him, like the Devil in The Passion, subtly, seductively, always in the background.

Dear Lord, I pray that all requests of the faithful on this list receive Your light, Your healing, and Your peace now and forever more.

Hon, as you probably know, we alcoholics and former drunks call that "white knuckle sobriety".
It's one helluva way to live, and the sad part is, it's not necessary.

I'm glad y'all are talking. I know that's a big step.
I'm glad he's doing well and has a good job.
As always, if there's anything I can do, let me know.

I will continue to pray for the Lord's guidance for him and for a deepening relationship between the two of you.

Love the name. My 5 year old is Emma Claire. It's a beautiful name. God Bless your new little one. I have 2 girls and just had a son (Asa Nathan). His sisters are protective of him as well. Good Luck to you and your family.
