Three of the 12 Americans killed in an Army helicopter crash in Iraq were soldiers from Fort Carson, multiple sources confirmed Monday. The soldiers from the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment were passengers aboard the helicopter, which was assigned to a different unit, said sources who have been briefed on the crash. Iraqi Border Guards Work With 3rd ACR To Protect BorderAR AR, Iraq - More than 15,000 pilgrims have passed through the Ar Ar border crossing in recent weeks while the Iraqi Department of Border Enforcement has worked closely with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment's 2nd Squadron to secure the crossing and ensure safe travel at Iraq's western border. In the Al Anbar province, these funds from Task Force "All American" have proven to be vital in the reconstruction and stabilization of Iraq.
