As the Trump Dynasty stumbles into misrule and failure, how long before the first well-known journalist gets murdered?
With the president designating the news media as “enemies of the people,” unstable personalities like pipe-bomb mailer Cesar Sayoc and the Pittsburgh synagogue shooter have been shaken loose from their moorings.
Imitators surely will follow.
Not that there’s anything new about it. Soreheads have been menacing journalists since the invention of newspapers. Recently, a man in Mountain Home, Arkansas, was charged with terroristic threatening after repeated phone calls targeting CNN’s Don Lemon.
I wondered if he was the same idiot who used to call my home 20 years ago threatening rape and mayhem. At age 39, he appears too young. But more about that to come.
Two things are different about the current menacing climate: One is that left-wing cranks have gotten involved. Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s wife was recently menaced by a crowd of “anti-fascist” protestors at their home. We are NOT the ones causing harm here, but the so-called journalist seems to want some sort of war.
The media is absolutely full of people with big egos who want to ‘make a mark on the world’, and generally had no other venue or outlet in which to pursue this self-centered mission. They are often very cutthroat in this pursuit, and their behaviors are in stark contradiction to the ‘egalitarian’ ‘tolerant’ inclusive’ world view they so superficially embrace and virtue signal with.
The media have hurt many, many people in society, and both rationalize and justify their irresponsible and dangerous behaviors by invoking the first amendment - all the while trampling on the rights of others, ruining lives, and supporting suppression of the first amendment rights of those they disagree with.
They have propagated hatred against many, but now cry foul as they are criticized in society. No one is advocating for violence against journalists. Many are, however, advocating for a ‘redo’ of the media, with a focus on truth and neutrality. They have applauded the ‘reform’ of so many things and professions in society, but now balk when it has become irrefutably clear that it is way past time for reform of their vehicle for stature and relevancy.
We are winning. Why give the enemy a reason to stop us? The pipe bomber and Temple shooter were left wing fanatics. All of the rhetoric for war and violence is coming from the left. Go Fish SunTimes. You got nuthin.

It’s not the journalists who want a war. It’s their deep state handlers.
They want to plant the idea in your mind that the journalists should be thought of as the targets of violence. Then they want to induce you to be violent.
What they don’t know, probably from simple stupidity, is Trump supporters don’t do that kind of thing.
No, you guys have been trying to get it started for a LONG time. When we finally respond, now WE are itching for a fight. Cowards. Always hiding behind the peanut gallery commentary.
If Trump’s base were itching for a fight, and Trump’s base has most of the guns and ammo in the country, it would’ve been done and over already. We don’t want a fight, we just want our country back.
