The "White House Staff [is] United by Grim . . . Reality," and the budget proposal according to one aide will have "the half-life of half an hour." Trump's "most cherished goals" cannot be reconciled. According to one unnamed staffer, "the cold, grey light of dawn is breaking."

Already the President's chief advisors are considering tax increases as part of an "overall strategy" on taxes.

OH WAIT. FOOLED YA! None of these stories are about Trump. They are all about Ronald Reagan. I just substituted Trump's name. Story 1, the "Failing Presidency," is from January 9, 1983 New York Slimes. Broder is quoted in the January 12, 1983 WaCompost. Something I will point out about the Reagan days, the democraps of that era and the disgust I've leftist media: as a college student, I began to take interest in the news regarding the President and the congress and followed closely. At the time I was not committed to eithe Republican or Democrats. I simply listened and weighed what I learned. It was the hideous behavior of the Democraps, easily visible despite the protection of the media, that swayed me to support Reagan and understand what he was facing. I evolved eventually into hard right because of my observations from that time.

I do not doubt that many of our young future voters are going through the same educational transformation right now given how horrible the left has become.

Thank you for reminding us of the stale, rigid and tyrannical conformity of the so-called "progressive" regressives.

How ridiculous is it that media persons, many of whom are descendants of those generations of freedom-loving men and women of the 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, and now 21st Centuries would be lap dogs for so-called "progressive" tyrants who would control them and their ability to exercise free speech and participate in group-think "resistance" to an outspoken advocate of that First Amendment right?

An ancient wisdom book once posited a reason why human beings sometimes "prefer darkness." The conclusion is worth considering here.

Shutting out honest and thoughtful debate in the public square on the ideas of liberty vs. the ideas of tyranny by major media companies contributes to an approaching intellectual darkness which existed prior to 1776.
