Political party is irrelevant when a candidate that campaigned on gun rights suddenly goes gun grabber in a state like WV. There is a betrayal of trust issue.
They’d sooner have Rich Rodriguez back coaching the Mountaineers.
Even then it would be wise to have him switch to the GOP because he’d be far easier to defeat in a primary than a general.
