Poll: Clinton leads Trump by just 4 points despite lewd comments (Basically within margin-of-error)

Donald Trump has lost little support since the first presidential debate, despite days of damaging news stories about his treatment of women, according to a new poll.

Hillary Clinton leads Trump 47 percent to 43 percent among likely voters in a four-way race, according to the latest ABC News/Washington Post national poll. Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson trails with 5 percent and the Green Party’s Jill Stein is at 2 percent.

In the previous ABC/Post poll, taken before the Sept. 26 debate, Clinton led Trump 46 percent to 44 percent.

The new poll continues to show some dire numbers for Trump, however, just 25 days before Election Day....

Voters are smarter than the media give them credit for. We know this election is more important than comments made 20 years ago that every man on the planet has made.

Wait a few days when these “accusers” are all shown to be lying RAT skanks on Hillary’s payroll. The stewardess has already been shown to be a liar.

There are people out there that will vote for Trump BECAUSE of the lewd comments. Especially since there were made in private and obviously just a lot of macho hyperbole on his part.

I agree.

This has been COMPLETELY overplayed.

I can even see that from over here. The dems are really going overboard.

Big backlash coming.

Considering it’s Politico, these numbers are pretty good. I wonder what the breakdown was by party.

How heavily weighted was the poll in favor of dems?

Sundance at CT is doing yeoman’s work deconstructing polls and showing their flaws. Don’t believe the polls.

You answered my question about how heavily the poll is weighted in favor of the dems. At +8, isn’t the poll essentially useless? Particularly when we can forecast a much higher turnout by Republicans this year than 2012 which is the turnout model polls are using.

Here lately, I am meeting lifelong democrats who say this time, they are voting republican.I think most these people would have gone with Bernie had he lasted. They cannot stomach the notion of voting for Hillary. She is a well known
commode, I mean commodity.

Despite lewd comments because, after all, nothing else of note has been going on with these candidates.

The turnout in 2012 was Dem +6. This poll assumes that Hillary will beat the Obama turnout by 2 points.

Pure wishful thinking. In the last midterm election the Dem turnout advantage was all gone.

I don’t trust any poll that is run by a mainstream media outlet at this time.

The Trump turnout will shock the pundits!

They are trying to dishearten people or they are grossly underestimating this movement.

I wish that more people took the illegal recording of a private conversation, then used for political purposes, as a freedom of speech issue. And what's this with the news networks spreading these stories and adding the tag "as yet unsubstantiated" to them....they're never going to be substantiated and they know it.

And then there's the "moral outrage" of Obama and Michelle about Trump's private talk, claiming they were appalled. These are the same people who went to and brought their daughter to a Beyoncé concert, and had rappers invited to the WH who sing mind-boggling degrading lyrics.

Everybody except us Deplorables has gone totally nuts trying to stop a decent man and great leader from getting to the WH. Sane people have to ask themselves why...if enough do, we prevail!

This has been COMPLETELY overplayed.

Even local news lead with this stories days after they come out but nothing about WikiLeaks or any question on why Hillary is hiding.
