A battle for the sentiment of the American people
The first night of the Republican convention last week began with a clear message: Americans are in peril. “The vast majority of Americans today do not feel safe,” former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani said July 18, setting the tone in Cleveland.
A week later, Democrats in Philadelphia agreed about the peril. Where they differed, though, was the cause. “Donald Trump, with all his rhetoric, will literally make us less safe,” said Vice President Joe Biden. “No major party nominee in the history of the station has ever known less or been less prepared to deal with our national security.”
In parallel conventions, Republicans and Democrats spoke of the dangers facing the country in starkly different terms....

I know a lot of democrats, and most of them are the most angry, bitter, and doom and gloom people that I know. They constantly tell me that Global Warming will lead to mass starvation and extinction, they tell me that the air and water is poisonous, that people trying to move out of the cities is creating massive problems that they endlessly fret over. They say that every black person is the victim of relentless white racism. They say that wanting to control our borders is racist, and they worry endless about all this. Even when 0bama won in 2008, and the dems controlled both houses, they were still angry and bitter.

I’m sorry, is Time Magazine saying that there’s “national gloom” under Obama, our Savior?
Never thought I’d see the day they’d diss him, even to get someone elected.

is the media working on fact checking Bill Clinton’s speech??
Are they digging into the details, of the claim that Hillary pretended to be a parent who went to a segregated school, and got the school’s tax exempt status revoked because they discriminate? What’s the name of the school, and what action was taken by the IRS? When did this happen?
Ditto the claim that Hillary engineered changing the way black boys in trouble with the law, were sent to adult prison with hardened criminals. Let’s have the particulars on that. What were the details on that?
This is just off the top of my head. But want to know, will the media dig into these claims Bill made, and verify them for us??? Or will they ignore them, because Bill and Hillary are liberal????
Optimism = complete denial
Even when 0bama won in 2008, and the dems controlled both houses, they were still angry and bitter.
I think that liberals are pissed off, even in victory.
They won on homosexual marriage, for example, so you would think their lives are now complete. But no, all this did was move the goal posts. Now that’s why we have moved on to issues of trans-gendered bathroom functions, and allowing trans-gender people in the military.
I think it’s a liberal mindset, to always be pissed off about something. There will always be some aspect of how society is structured which does not comport with the idealized nirvana they dream about.
There’s income inequality, areas in which women are not equal, global warming, Obamacare’s limitations which they want to fix by going to full blown socialized medicine, etc.
Since there will never be true, absolute equality among people, per the liberals criteria, they will never be happy. And their mindset is that they cannot find contentment or satisfaction in life, unless they are trying to shove some aspect of liberalism down our throats.
They worship “change” for its own sake. That was the big theme of Bill Clinton’s address last night, Shrillary as “change maker”....
They want to tear apart our society over and over again because they always want to “change” it.
They had no choice if the nominate Clinton. Sanders could have run against Obama. Clinton can’t.
So it’s sunshine, lollipops, rainbows everything that’s wonderful . . .

the most prominent thing about the Dem Convention so far is the absolutely incredible abundance Stick lollipop signs for everybody. Get your Michelle stick. Your Obama stick, and your Clinton stick (I don’t think there was a Biden stick, but we can be sure tomorrow there will be a Hillary stick). You can even wave a sign and shake a stick at the same time.
Have I missed the dancing? Where are the happy faces that we saw in abundance at the RNC? A newscaster complained that there was more partying in the hallways at the RNC than inside, but where’s the partying at the DNC? in private suites? at the marches where whites (including white media) are told to get to the back? Maybe they’re happy to sit like minions waving their sticks.
I will remember the RNC for the fun had by all (ok, most all, those Cruz people weren’t having so much fun). I will remember the DNC for the sticks.
