JANESVILLE, WI— Wisconsin businessman Paul Nehlen held a press conference on Saturday in front of Paul Ryan’s border wall surrounding his Janesville mansion. Nehlen demanded that Ryan either build a wall to protect the American people or tear down his own wall that protects Ryan and his family.

As I understand, he married money. Not only did Ryan marry money, he married into a huge Democrat family. His wealthy wife was a Democrat lobbyist.

Explains a lot, doesn’t it?

So he comes off as a real frugal, thrifty man of the people....when in reality, he has a mansion in Wisco.

“Looks more like a fence, rather than a wall. I’m no Ryan fan. But I think this is stretching it just a bit.”

From article:

“As Nehlen was speaking, Ryan’s house was being protected by... a tall fence reinforced by high bushes.”

The functionality is precisely the same. Not a stretch at all.

Sounds like the Ryans are pretty well keyed in to the Beltway.

That is really a stretch. I lived in Janesville for 28 years. Ryan’s home is what is known as the Parker Mansion. George Parker of Parker Pen had his company in Janesville and built that house. It has been that way forever. You can walk, drive right by it anytime you want. I believe Ryan bought it for just over $400K. I am no fan of Ryan anymore, but let’s be honest in our attacks. Any school kid could jump that fence and many have.

This is sweeping the Nation . It is called love of nationhood . It is called sovereignty. Those opposed to it have numbered days in power and a rail to ride out of town.

"The Parker Pen company was once a big deal in the small Wisconsin city of Janesville, the hometown of presumptive Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan. As Parker's fortunes rose, so too did those of Janesville, and the family of company founder George Parker built this large Georgian mansion in the Courthouse Hill neighborhood in 1929. Today it stands as a testament to his success, and a reminder of how far the town has fallen since Parker moved away. In 2010, Ryan and his wife paid $421K for the 5,800-square-foot spread with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. A deep 0.82-acre lot allows space for a tennis court, though aerial shots reveal it to be in pretty rough shape. Then again, playing tennis in the backyard of your mansion while the town crumbles around you would be terribly bad form for someone seeking higher public office."

Okay -- I'll give him that a $421K house on .82 acre is not excessive -- if he didn't get a nudge-nudge-wink-wink deal on the property like Obama did on his Chicago abode -- but it sure looks like more than .82 acre from the photos.

There are probably 100 members of the House that do the same. Do you know how much it costs to rent an apartment on Capitol Hill? $3-4k per month for a 1 bedroom in a decent place. Paul Rino needs to be defeated, but the fact that he sleeps in his office 2-3 nights per week is not one of them (the house pictured is in Janesville, Wisconsin).

Not taking up or Ryan, but Dick Armey, from Texas’ 26th congressional district and one of the engineers of the “Republican Revolution” of the 1990s, used to sleep in the gym on a cot.
