David Horowitz: ‘Kristol’s Betrayal Gets Serious’
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | May 30, 2016 | David Horowitz

Posted on 05/30/2016 11:12:46 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Over the Memorial Day Weekend, Bill Kristol doubled down on his betrayal of this country with a pair of tweets: “Just a heads up over this holiday weekend: There will be an independent candidate — an impressive one, with a strong team and a real chance,” Kristol tweeted.

He also said, “Those accused of betraying GOP by opposing Trump can take heart from P. Henry 251 years ago today: ‘If this be treason, make the most of it!’”

This fatuous invocation of an American patriot to justify the betrayal typifies the arrogant disregard for political realities shared by all those involved in a defection that could produce even greater disasters than the Obama era’s 400,000 deaths by jihad and 20 million refugees across the Middle East....

I agree. According to Gingrich Trump is the quickest study of anyone he has ever known in public life outside of Bill Clinton.

The mood in this country is going to turn very ugly,...very frustrated angry and betrayed...maybe to a very dangerous extent if this Krystol bastard and his henchmen,...the detestable Romney...cause the election of Clinton with their traitorous actions. Maybe ultimately a popular uprising.

Billy is just a little late in realizing his irrelevance by at least 10 years

Actually Horowitz quoted Charles Murray who had quoted David Brooks.

Calling him fatuous is giving him too much credit...flatulent is more like it, except Kristol is flatulent on both ends of his alimentary canal.

hahahaha. That guy wouldn’t take a single Trump vote away. His gun grabbing garbage might play well in New York, in which case Trump has a legitimate change there since he would split the vote with Hillary. Oh, this will be so entertaining. They think Trump is afraid of 3rd parties, I suspect he wouldn’t mind at all. It could even help him in the debates

There is not anyone out there that would jump in as an independent with any credibility. Bloomberg has money and apparently toyed with the idea, but seriously, no one else. I don’t think Lyn’ Ted would abandon the part for this. Well, unless Kristol offer him role with guaranteed financing. What’s a rejected Canadian to do but then accept?

He’s as insane as Glenn Beck...they both need to go into a ‘padded’ cell...

You may, of course, be right, although it would be hard to match Beck for bat-guano lunacy.
My sense of Nat. Review is that they see their place at the table vaporizing. It was already tenuous; but the irrelevancy of who they once were, and the watery viscosity of the gruel they've been ladling out, leaves their whole house more butt-hurt than insane, IMHO.

No blowhard pontificator worthy of the name can ever tolerate being rendered utterly, totally and irremediably -- irrelevant. And that is the present trajectory for the squish RINOs who have brought us to this point.

“I don’t think Kristol would want Ron Paul”

Yeah. They are anathema to each other.

Nobody wants to be the next John Anderson.

Republican congressman 1961-1981.

Ran for the GOP nomination in 1980; did not win.

Ran as 3rd party candidate against Reagan in 1980. It ended his political career.

The GOP establishment (which included Kristol’s dad Irving Kriostol) pulled the same stunt against Reagan that Bill Kristol is trying today. They promised Anderson the moon if he would run 3rd party and split the Republican vote (and thus elect Carter to a 2nd term).

Instead of getting the Moon, Anderson’s political career was destroyed. The promised senate seat never happened, as Anderson came to be viewed as a traitor to the party by the rank and file.

People are missing the real reason for the meltdown over Trump.

His GOPe and media opponents are GLOBALISTS. So is Hillary. So is Obama. So is Romney. So is Ryan. etc.

Their overriding concern is that whoever is elected President will continue their push for global government. Period.

Compared to their essentially religious belief in the necessity for one world government, everything else shrinks to insignificance.

THAT is the real reason for the hysterical opposition to Trump.

We possibly may have an individual whose ego is right up there alongside Obama. Just as irritating. The one notable difference is that one is Black and the other White.

One other notable difference is that the kenyan managed to win election to the highest office in the land while the other is worthless chattering class nattering nabob of negativity.

Kristol thinks he’s Patrick Henry; he’s not even Pat Paulsen.

Kristol is a Quisling who mistakenly thinks he’s as smart as his mother.
