After Hillary Drops Out... What?
PJ Media ^ | May 25, 2016 | Michael Walsh

The State Department's report on Hillary Clinton's insouciant attitude toward cyber-security would finish any other American politician. She ignored the law, flouted it repeatedly, and didn't care; folks are in prison for less. The only thing that's holding her up at this point is her Amen Corner in the media, most of whom know her personally and who long for a Clinton Restoration in order to reclaim their places as house courtiers. But 2016 is not 1992 or even 2008, and the retinue of retainers is as long in the tooth as the former first lady herself. They can't protect her as they once could, and the multiplicity of media means that while the gatekeepers are still at the gates, the walls on either side have fallen. Meanwhile, State has publicly called her a liar and left a stinking mess on her doorstep that even her faithful house boys are going to find difficult to sweep aside. Now what? Maybe this what:

The Democratic National Committee is considering a plan to re-insert Vice President Joe Biden into the presidential race, Donald Trump said Wednesday in California, a stunning claim on a day when front-runner Hillary Clinton faced new questions about her classified email scandal.

'I hear they're gonna actually slip Joe Biden in and he's going to take Bernie's place,' Trump told a rally audience of thousands in Anaheim, California, referring to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. 'I hear they want to slip him in,' he repeated. 'Cause I will say, the system is rigged against Bernie, 100 per cent.'

Well, that's certainly true. Mrs. Clinton was declared the nominee even before the first pro-forma ballots were counted, and nothing that's happened since -- including Sanders's remarkable series of victories over Hillary -- has changed the official narrative. But the State Department's report is yet another straw on the staggering camel's back.

Biden, who has been vice president since 2009, withdrew himself from presidential consideration in October, citing family pressures following the death of his 46-year-old son Beau. 'I believe we're out of time – the time necessary to mount a winning campaign,' Biden said then.

But if Clinton were forced out of the race, Sanders – who describes himself as a 'democratic socialist.'– would become the presumptive favorite. That's an outcome the Democratic Party could find undesirable.

Trump was reacting to a damning report from the State Department's Office of Inspector General report that clobbered Clinton over the security of the private, homebrew email server she used exclusively during the four years she was America's top diplomat. Among the report's conclusions was that on at least two occasions hackers tried to penetrate the server, which was housed at the Clintons' home in Chappaqua, New York.

Sliding Biden into the top spot would not be all that difficult for a party that doesn't care what the law says anyway. In fact, it would be a Torricelli Maneuver on a grand scale, the illegal replacement of an all-but-dead candidate with a party hack. There's no way the establishment Democrats are going to hand over control of their cozy racket to a crazed geriatric communist who wasn't even a member of their party a few months ago.

Whether they can get away with it, of course, is another story. The Clinton's hold on the media is waning; she is a terrible candidate, even worse than she was eight years ago; and by the time the campaign hits the summer, her unfavorables will be far higher than Trump's. For all their bravado, the Democrats are looking at a very bleak future. And if the FBI recommends prosecution...

It might actually be doing the Democrats a favor. Obama, crocodile tears in his eyes, can say he did his best, but guess what: Hillary ain't that likable after all. Attorney General Lynch can move forward with an indictment, schocked, shocked to find gambling going on in the casino. Under pressure, Hillary pleads health issues and steps aside -- but not before tossing her delegates to Biden. Riots ensue, but the party leaders don't care: la cosa nostra is safe for another generation.

And here you thought the GOP had problems.

Trump smelled blood, and hammered Hillary on Wednesday at the Anaheim Convention Center. 'Crooked Hillary!' he boomed. 'She's as crooked as they come. She had a little bad news today ... not so good. The inspector general's report. Not good.'

'But I want to run against Hillary,' he insisted, even if her legal problems make her candidacy untenable. 'I just want to run against her. Look, I don't know if you're going to be able to. It could be we run against Crazy Bernie. That could be. He's a crazy man, but that's okay. We like crazy people,' Trump said of Sanders.

Somebody call the men in white coats.

I think it will be a long agonizing ordeal with Obama, for all of us.

Hopefully, she’ll be convicted and sent to prison. They probably have an empty cell for her at Gitmo.

I think you, and probably Obama, will be stunned how quickly Obama drops from the daily news. Especially if Trump is elected. The press has truly gone to the mat for this guy, like they did Carter, diligently covering up his many flops and face-palming disasters. After he's hit the road, they'll breathe a heavy sigh and ready up some "Look what a great post-presidency he's having!" human interest stories for the first post-Obama year.

Then, in five or ten years, we'll see a "60 Minutes" story with a graying Obama talking about his work with the underprivileged.

I really hope you’re right but I view Obama like one of those deadly strains of pneumonia that no one seems to be able ti shake.

The press actually still has some weird crazy sense of pride. They’ll support a liberal president who they constantly have to cover up for as long as he’s president.

When he’s out of office, though, not so much.

Even Bill Clinton would have faded a little more into the background if his power-clawing wife wasn’t always running for something.

My Lord - Bernie just asked (via a question posed by Jimmy Kimmel) whether Trump would debate him before the June 9 California primary. Donald said yes if a network or sponsor would sponsor it with all proceeds going to charity.
GAME ON!

I suspect that cracks will develop in the clinton brick wall. If it’s bad now for them (and it is) wait until the pressure mounts and they succumb to it or react to it. This is the part that is unknown territory as they generally have stuck to their scripts throughout their careers. I think the wheels will come off at some point, they will go off the reservation, and it will become obvious that she needs to go away.

She must hate Trump as much as she does Obama.

Yes she hates them, but not with the white hot hatred she reserves for the man who scotched her absolute best chance at achieving her goal on a mild early September morning in 2001.

She was on track to best George W. Bush in 2004, but that entire plan came crashing down along with the World Trade Center. Her tailor-made scenario to achieve her most driving ambition died that morning, along with three thousand or so people. She never recovered from the blow to her plans, and actually sat out the 2004 election, which absent 9-11 and its aftermath, could very well have ended up with her victorious.

So, she will go to her grave, cursing the name of Osama Bin Laden, but not for the reason others curse his name, but the one mentioned above. He is the one who denied her the prize she so covets, her carefully thought out campaign for 2004 becoming stillborn due to his actions.

In the end, we have been spared the horror of a HRC Presidency by OBL. I reflect on this fact often, these days, and to this day I am struck with the fact the The Almighty does, indeed, have a sense of humor...

How does the State Dept. know that on at least two occasions someone attempted to hack her server? Did they have access to it all along? I thought she wiped it clean.

Oh, I think she will. Obama holds all the keys though. He needs to apply the pressure gradually — taking away her options.

Look at it. The FBI brings in Guccifer. Now her email scandal takes on a public corruption dimension.

Then the DNC starts overtly talking about removal of Hillary-crony Debbie Wasserman Schulz — meaning they’ve been planning this for a while. If DWS goes, Hillary’s eyes & ears within the upper party ranks are gone.

Then Terry McAuliffe is targeted by the FBI. McAuliffe has been the Clinton bagman for years. So now they are pressuring the Clinton past and all of Bubba’s misdeeds.

There’s only one person with the power to do all this: Barry Soetero. He has put a “green lite” on Hillary. You better believe that she’ll be approached — probably thru Bill — to withdraw from the race in the next few weeks. Maybe it’s already been done.

A pardon will be dangled as a sweetner and Hillary will waddle off to retirement.

I’ve expected all along that Hillary will drop out for ‘health’ reasons and Biden and/or Lieawatha will pick up the dim banner.
A much stronger ticket v. Trump.

The evidence already made public is beyond compelling. Once the FBI has completed the investigations in which the Clintons are a target, both Bill and Hill are looking at potential sentences putting them away for life. For Bill that won’t be long. For Hillary that will be at least ten years and longer in the slammer where she’ll get to know the little people intimately.

That’s not something she’ll risk. She’ll go through the same process that Petraeus did. She has the same lawyer. The difference being the mammoth amount of evidence means she will not be able to escape the consequences.

Obama has no control over the FBI inquiry. That’s been obvious long into last year. There’s a war between the White House/Clinton camp including the media against the FBI. While the media has been somewhat successful in obfuscating the email issue, they haven’t nullified the FBI’s leaks.

Comey’s recent presser wiped out all of the Clinton camp’ attaboys in one fell swoop. The announcement of the plea deal with Guccifer was the coup de grace in many respects. It put the Clinton camp on notice that the email server was compromised and the FBI has proof. That obliterated Hillary’s “What doe it matter?” excuse.

It’s going to be a miserable summer for Hillary.

Yep. Great post tall guy.

Let's take this another step. Isn't it possible that Barack doesn't want ANY Democrat leading what's left of the party from the White House? Obama doesn't play second fiddle.

Isn't it possible a loss for the Democrats in the general election would represent a promotion for Barack to leader of the world opposition to the Great Satan?

I think he would be just fine with the leader of the opposition in the WH, so that Barack can agitate, mobilize the masses, foment chaos at every turn, and instigate the revolution he so wants for this country.

He's sufficiently deluded, and just like everyone else, he too, is underestimating Donald Trump.

What Hillary doesn’t control is the big donors. Obama recently had to personally ask them to support Hillary. No one made a big deal out of the fact that Sanders surpassed Hillary for several months in funds raised per the FEC reports.

For a supposed shoo in like Hillary, that’s troubling. The loss of funding from the major donors will be the writing on the wall for her.

Her IT tech’s performance was less that stellar. The FBI has had her emails for some time. That’s one of the reasons they told the State Dept. to layoff releasing them. When the FBI first interviewed Guccifer almost three years ago, they found out she had a private server.

The info about outside access to the server has been known for some time.
