If FR is any indication of the pulse of the general electorate, it’s President Hillary.

Ted's GOPee puppetmasters are freaked out by Trump because of what Trump MIGHT mean to the 24/7 Washington drunken debauch on the taxpayer dime.

Not because of what Trump WILL mean - what he MIGHT mean.

Cruz, the Unipatsy, presents the GOPee swells no such concerns. :)

The 2016 presidency is lying in the road like a shiny gold piece - and the GOPee drunks are worried that Trump might end their party on the taxpeasants’ dime...

No. And it doesn't matter, they are all pushing the globalist communist agenda. I could not care less if it's Hillary, Biden, Cruz, Rubio--different hat, same outcome.

#pinochet2020.

Just waitin'.

Yes, he’s spot on, which is why you should be supporting Trump.

Pat makes some good points, but he utterly fails to address Trump’s weaknesses as a unifying figure. Whether through his Tweeting or his name-calling or his pettiness or his sheer ignorance of public policy and the Constitution or all of the above, Trump has alienated a large segment of the GOP activist base. That’s why he’s getting shut out at party conventions like the one in Colorado. Pat has said recently that Trump is running a vastly more successful version of his own 1992 & 1996 campaigns, and that’s true. And I can’t blame Pat for indulging in the fantasy of success for a candidate he sees as one after his own heart. But that’s all it is: a fantasy. Heck, I voted for Pat in the primaries in ‘92 and ‘96, but Pat was himself more presidential than Donald. Pat knew the issues and was a classier guy.

Trump in 2000 was nasty toward Buchanan, who is very forgiving. Trump, did he support Gore or GWB?

I will never “unite” with the GOPe.

The GOPe is no different than Benedict Arnold. They deserve to hang.

Your post is an excellent post.

I'd like to offer the caveat that the 2016 presidency is lying in the middle of the road like a lost, shiny gold piece, and instead of picking it up and pocketing it [going with Trump], the GOPee is fighting their OWN candidate, driving up his negatives, and desiring to drive them up even more.

I can longer trust a word out of the mouth of ANY Republican when he or she tells me they're looking out for me and other conservatives.

We could have closed our fist around the presidency prize a month or two ago. You have to ask yourself what was so important to the GOPee that we didn't.

Hint: The perpetual drunken Washington party on the taxpayer dime.

"BUCHANAN: Will Republicans be able to unite?"

Unity is important. Regardless of who the candidate becomes, congressman john conyers is probably already working on articles of impeachment for a new Republican president by just editing the ones he did for GWB. He'd probably be much further along with his project were crayon not so hard to erase.
